So much for Obamacare improving the economy........

"Health care providers announced more layoffs than any other industry last month — 8,128 — mostly because of reductions by hospitals, according to outplacement firm Challenger, Gray and Christmas. So far this year, the health care sector has announced 41,085 layoffs, the third-most behind financial and industrial companies."

And yet the sheep keep voting in the morons, and complain about it later. I say that no one should vote for anyone. They gave up the "of the people, by the people, and for the people" long ago. Why should we all be puppets of the government? When the day is over, and all is said and done, we go to bed at night wondering just what the hell our government will do while we sleep to force us into inevitable submission. Vote in morons, and that is what you get.

“The House and Senate have to go to conference to reconcile the differences between their two budget resolutions. When Reid tried to get the process started in the Senate, the usual suspects from the GOP rose one by one with objections. This was a charade that went on for weeks. They made it clear that they wanted the Democrats consent agreement in advance on all of the elements in the Ryan budget passed by the House or there would be no conference. They were the ones who didn’t want to negotiate.

http://www.dailykos.com/story/2013/10/12/1246...
“The budget is up to the President and he didn’t do one,” is the answer I got on Friday when I called my House representative’s office to ask why the government was shut down.

...And the glib, self-satisfied, snotty Luke Russert sound-alike on the phone didn’t hesitate for a nanosecond after my question.“The budget is up to the President and he didn’t do one.”

I didn’t hesitate either and I politely offered him a civics lesson.“Do you have a copy of the Constitution there or a laptop in front of you? The Constitution authorizes Congress, only, to appropriate money for spending. Not the President.”

“Luke’s” juvenile mocking tone showed he wasn’t impressed.“Yeah, well, Congress gets the budget from the President and he never sent it this year.”

I answered the only way I could.“The President’s Fiscal Year 2014 Budget was posted on the Congressional Budget Office website earlier this year and the CBO analyzed it and published its findings online.“

“Luke” tried to interrupt me but I wasn’t done speaking.“You know, this isn’t the first year ever for Congress to work on fiscal matters. The budget process is outlined in the Congressional Budget Act of 1974 with a calendar of deadlines to keep the process on track for completion before the fiscal new year on October 1. You can find that on the Budget Committee page for the House and Senate. The required deadlines were very important to the Republicans in January and they introduced the No Budget No Pay Act because they wanted strict adherence on the deadlines. It was passed in the House and Senate and the President signed it. The House and Senate passed their budgets by the deadline and what happened after that? Why weren’t the rest of the deadlines on the calendar completed?”

“Luke” didn’t sound so cocky anymore.“But the President has to negotiate.”

I told him to look at the calendar of deadlines.“The House and Senate have to go to conference to reconcile the differences between their two budget resolutions. Read the verbatim transcripts in the Congressional Record from April 24 to May 15. The Republicans never even appointed conferees to the conference because they didn’t want to negotiate. Instead they let the clock run out on the fiscal year knowing that they made no appropriations for the new fiscal year. They didn’t even reauthorize 2013 spending to avoid disruptions on October 1. They thought it would be easier to extract concessions from the Democrats once they were faced with the urgency of a government shutdown. The President is wise not to negotiate with Republican extortionists.“
Great post.

Damn... I wish Obama would have the guts to simply stop sending out Socialist Security checks, and cut War Department payments by 50%.

Then we'd see who really wants to control spending.

Yep... Ronnie Ray-Gun - the Alzheimer's ridden movie star of "Bedtime for Bonzo", who as president:
- exploded the deficit;
- tripled the national debt;
- illegally sold arms to Al Queda who used them to kill our American troops;
- paid murderers to conduct terrorist attacks in Central Americans democracies;
- wasted Trillions of Dollars is insipidly stupid War Department cronyism like an imaginary "Star Wars" program; and
- oversaw statistically the most corrupt administration in American history.

Of course, Right Wingers, whose knowledge of facts and history is limited to cartoons and Fox Noise, he's a hero.

To intelligent and informed Americans, Ronnie Ray-gun is only second to George Bush, as the greatest danger America ever survived.

Your judgement of my opinion is your own mind. I serve neither party of any government divided within itself. It's you idiots who go out and vote, and then complain later about why you got lied to. Think about this, sheep, when you go to vote, it is a travesty of humanity for you to continually put people into any position of authority, only to learn later that they lied their butts off to get your vote and your money. It is YOU that have failed our country, and then complain later. The voters are bigger idiots than the ones they throw money at to vote in. Sad to say, you, the voters are the imbeciles that support devaluing your life, and laughing at you when you try to complain. By the way, nuts me, clueless me, and whatever you want to judge me as, but know that I know I am mright, and you, the Mr. and Mrs. John Q. Sucker, have done this to all of us.

Oh, by the way. It's probably the prominent 5 families of Columbus, GA and the nutty infinite wisdom of the L-E that keeps labeling me. When all is said and done, I know I am right, and you can be kids putting peanuts, light bulbs, and little ban symbols after everything I say, but in my book, you, and your tired little town of racist, ignorant, uneducated selves, will live on in complete darkness of life while I move forward and get the heck out of here for a better life among many who do not live as you do, which is a sad pathetic existence of vote in morons, and live with it, only to complain and moan later. Make sure to leave the peanut thing, the light bulb thing, and whatever else you want to leave.

You are correct in many of your points but the people of this country are only partially responsible for our problems. You are correct that they keep voting for the same old liar and con man over and over. They don't even take the time to see what good or bad each candidate has done. Many go and vote by a few tv ads. Most don't vote.
But these two parties have used the news media and the corrupt power of the government to control propaganda against anyone or any other party that opposes them.
The voters have little chance but to vote for Mr. A or Mr. B, which are hand picked by their own party. Actually voting for one or the other doesn't seem to really matter. Whichever one wins , they jump in line and continue to do what they are told to do just as the previous elected officials did. The voters have very little choice of whom to vote for.
Too bad we can't vote against a candidate we don't want. That and a 2 year term limit, some form of voter education, might help bring things back into some sort of a government that is for the people.
