Deadly Wreck On Highway 31 In Athens

Athens Police are investigating a deadly wreck in Athens. It happened in front of the new health department on Highway 31 South, just south of the Country Club subdivision.

Have the next of kin been notified? It sure would suck for them if they saw this picture on the internet before receiving notification. I hope WHNT checked on this before putting this on their site!

My thoughts and prayers are with the family. Thank you for keeping this story updated. I've waited for two days to see who it was involved and I appreciate your professionalism in not announcing the names (despite pressure) until the next of kin were notified.

Thank you for keeping us posted. We'll be thinking of the families involved in this tragedy.
