And there was much rejoicing. This road would only be better served if we still road horses.

No lane closures before 9am? The last time they did work and said that, they shut everything down at 7am to get an early start. And, then they continued construction into the afternoon rush hour past 5pm. Brace yourselves - it's going to be a bumpy ride in more ways than one!

These guys have a tough job ahead of them. Let's remember that they're only doing their job. We all need to be careful while driving through construction zones. Be safe and help keep the workers safe.

they waited for Columbia gas to finish??.. did they?
I wonder how fast they will cut into it and have to patch that stretch of road...

Hanover needs a by-pass. we need big trucks off the small roads- even thought they are main routes
maybe if we give incentives to the industries in town to move to industrial parks, we could keep the roads in Hanover in decent shape for local drivers and our shocked visitors

Yes! A big thanks goes to all the people working on this - it isn't easy. As for a bypass - it sounds good in one way, but we need more business downtown, not something that leaves it a ghost town. A bypass for trucks just going through, never planning to stop in Hanover, might be fine, except wasn't Eisenhower Drive supposed to be a bypass? All that's resulted from it is the building of more strip malls and fewer people going to what could be a great downtown if most of these businesses were there, and parking were available.

Yes while I agree this is WAYYYYYYY over due, I only hope it does not affect rush hour traffic like it did when they did 94.

Please advise drivers of side streets which will afford them an alternative route to their destination. The publication about railroad crossing repairs was very helpful to me.
