It's about fricking time. This bridge was supposed to be completed 4 years ago.
It's also sweet to see that neighborhood being razed. They ought to just keep going to Maple St and 4 blocks east and west.

As much as this is needed, this is going to be a traffic nightmare while the construction is happening. Really not looking forward to be detoured all over the city.

what? just hop over to 8th St. No big deal

I don't understand your feelings about this neighborhood. My family has lived in this neighborhood since just after the Civil War. Has the neighborhood changed?- Some. But it's just a few bad apples. For the most part this is not a bad place - certainly not worth your apparent hatred for everyone in this area.
Note - my home is in the area that you suggested should be "razed".
I'm glad the construction is underway. The rerouting of traffic will be a bummer, but a small price to pay for the bridges.

Quit your pi$$ing and moaning. No one cares.

I would ask Billy K. But he has moved to California(along with the money he didn't supposedly have) After taking a cross country motorcycle trip. I guess everybody does that after going broke?
Anyway, Nico's appears to be doing well without his presence. So, just maybe, the problem there was his managing and decision making...not Lebanon itself.

Ha !! Take a cruise by Lebanon Middle School, at the tracks,
and watch what happens every school day morning at 8am
and every afternoon at 3pm !!!
Too many parents drop off their children on the WRONG side of the street.
Too many parents stop their cars IN THE LANES... and just sit there,
while their children jaywalk between moving cars and traffic.
It's a madhouse unchecked.
Before N. 8th Street can become a throughfare,
the "stopping" laws need to be enforced (POLICE ??)....
parents of middle schoolers need to be EDUCATED,
and then REQUIRED to drop off their children at
N. 7th St. or Church St.,
... and hopefully, with the cost of fuel and time wasted...
more of these middle school children can be EDUCATED to
WALK a block or two or three...
from their home, or from the more distant, safe, and less congested
REMOTE drop off points.
