KCP&L isn't disclosing cost overruns of plant near Weston, anon...

Kansas City Power & Light's plant being built near Weston is beset by cost overruns that have intentionally not been disclosed, according to a letter received by Missouri regulators.

I hope KCP&L have also figured in their cost the the repairs needed on HWY 45. With all the heavy truck traffic now on 45, the bridges are in need of repair. The bridges have developed huge pot holes that need immediate attention.
Also Platte County needs to monitor the speeding done by these trucks on HWY 45, and their need to take up portions of the other lane of traffic on these bridges.
How many damaged cars will it take to get someones attention? How many fatalities will it take before something is done?

i agree, that KCP&L should hold some responsibility for the increased traffic on 45, and the damage done by it. those bridges are falling apart at a fast rate. they are repaired, and literally by the end of the week, they are pot-hole ridden again. i personally have confronted an oncoming wide load trailer at one of these bridges. it is a miracle i have experience in close quarter manuevering, or i am sure he would have caused an accident! traffic is getting out of hand and the roads are falling apart! lets hope the taxpayers will not have to foot all of the bill here! and pray no more FAtalities!
