Poor old LaCoste

This little mudhole is beyond help. Years of mismanagement,incompetent leadership and plain old corruption have made it the laughing stock of the state!

Can't ANYONE at city hall get it right? They have missing and misfiled records, city ordanances that can't be found and IF they are found, portions have been "whited" out or are unreadable. Local "leaders" have just noticed that Castroville has encroached into LaCoste territory providing services that should have been provided by LaCoste.

They had a police chief that was as corrupt as he could possibly be; shredding traffic tickets, hiding warrants, womanizing while on the job and who knows what else will come to light. Then they FINALLY get a chief who actually does his job, and many in the town are howling to have him removed from office because he DOES HIS JOB!

We have an incompetent city secretary who apparently does not know her ABCs and loses or misplaces or misfiles almost every piece of paper she gets her hands on.

We have a city council composed of ignoramouses whose only mission seems to be to replace the current police chief and bring back the old corrupt chief.

We have a mess here folks and our city leaders are incapable of gettting a grip and get this little town into the 21st century. The city council is a big JOKE, the city secretary is a big JOKE, and everyone of them needs to be kicked out immediately and replaced with people who have a BRAIN!

And to be clear, Garry Smith is not the interim Chief.

We are conducting a trial period to see if La Coste can get by without a police department.

If all goes well, which it has, we will be doing away with the police department.

Our small town really needs the 75,000 a year we spend on the PD to fix roads, give George Salzman a raise, hire a 3rd public works worker, etc.

We are spending too much money on a police dept that we are proving during this trial period that we do not need.

The June 12th Lytle Leader news reported that per Bexar County Garry Smith was suspended for messing around with a female prisoner, and then interfering with the following investigation. He appealed and filed suit against Bexar County in Court and LOST!!!!!

Great!! We have this person as a officer in La Coste. He lied and impeded a official investigation and we are supposed to trust him here?

Why don't just they abolished the Police Department,and let the Medina County Shreriff's Office do the Law Enforcement services.
Why doe's La Coste Police Department alway's have problems?? Cause majority of the Officers,are nothing but SAPD applicant rejects & problems they had with other Agencies.The majority of the Officers on La Coste Police are gypsy cop's.I bet if you look at thier TCLEOSE agency history file,the average is 5 agency's within a 3-4 year period,I bet most of them has a General Discharge or Dishonerable,or ask to resign,and Mayor Andy Keller told me that when he researched all the Officers file,95% of them are gypsys,and only one has had a stable history.Mayor Andy Kellor told me that he talked to the directors of TCLOESE,and he told me that TCLEOSE want's to crack down,and put the brakes on gypsy cop's,due to the Sunset Act,reviewing TCLEOSE.
I don't want to say names,the officers that resigned,resigned ASAP,cause,Mayor Keller went to the Texas Rangers,and the Medina County DA.The missing equipment,all of a sudden reappeard,why cause the last Chief that resigned don't want to go to prison.I was told by the new Mayor,that the last Chief had problems with other agencies,he made some phone calls,and now realized that The City of La Coste made a mistake by appointing him as the Chief,without further digging into his background,and he brought in more problems for the La Coste taxpayers.
The City of La Coste should just let the Medina County Sheriff's Office do the Law Enforcement services,and use the tax payer money towards fixing the city streets,and hire more public works,and that money they paid the last Chief $40,000.00 a year was a waste of taxpayers dollars.As a tax payer,I fell alot safer with the Medina County Sheriff's Office patroling our streets,cause.The Sheriff is a very good man,and they are better equipped,and they have better Investigators,there more friendly,La Coste Investigator they have is a joke,and lazy,just want to wear a bagde,and gun.The problmes we been having with the Police Department,is a revolving door.When they get rid of one problem Chief,they turn around,and wind up with another problem Chief.Mayor Andy Keller notice the pattern they have,and the new Chief he told me is the last one for the City Of La Coste,he told me that if the problem continues,then they will abolished the Police Department,and let the Sheriff's Office patrol the city.
All La Coste wastes the taxpayers dollars on is problem Police Officers,I'm surprised that the last officers did not cause the tax payers some money in a litigation suit.
