I saw News vans on my way home from work. I watched the news and never saw anything. My neighboor said it was something about a hate list. Does anyone have any idea?

Wow, that would be frightening. Do you have kids at the middle school? I would certainly be calling first thing Monday morning to see what you could find out. I know about a week ago there was a group of kids arrested in a school (Don't think it was in Texas) that had some sort of hate list going and were planning to act on it as the anniversary of Columbine plus I believe that same day was Hitler's birthday...very frightening indeed

Apparently an eight grader had a list of names of other students that had teased him. He was going to threaten them or harm them in some way is the talk. Nothing has been determined yet. He was arrested and is being questioned. There was one girl that was interviewed that was on the list and said he was going to shoot them. Not sure where she got that from. These kids are out of control and parents need to get a handle on them as well as schools. It is a sad day when people have to be afraid to send their children to SCHOOL.

I so want to say you teachers are not getting the support you need in order to control these kids. First they take paddling, you can't even put them in time out without having a parent come down on you. Parents have let their kids run wild and expect they are given the SAME "open season" attitude in school...I think it is disgraceful. Something needs to be done to make the parents accountable for the childs action...problem is...the parents think the way their kids act is OK!!

I absolutely agree the children are out of control! We took prayer out, we stopped paddling, and it is considered child abuse to spank or discipline your kids and people still expect them to behave as we did when we were growing up- People do not even teeach their children to say "yes maam" and "no sir" any more- if you dont teach them respect and that there are consequences for actions that are unacceptable - then how can we expext them to grow up with manners and respect and be productive members of society. I say we need to spank their bottoms and teach them that we will not tolerate nothing but respect from them and if they step out of line they will pay dearly! To heck with all this molly coddling from people like Dr phil and oprah who say spanking is bad- I turned out just fine and I know the difference between right and wrong! God have mercy on our teachers they are getting a very RAW DEAL!!!!!
