The report released by the Oregon Department of Energy is so full of baseless claims and contradictions that it is widely discredited in most circles.
One of the claims of this report is that building pipelines from the Rockies to Oregon would be less environmentally destructive and more economically feasible.than building pipelines from Bradwood to Hillsboro.
The report also claims that the plant will not be able to find enough LNG to keep the plant running. Seems that if the company is willing to spend billions on construction of the plant, it has some reason to believe that this claim is baseless. Comapanies don't build plants unless it thinks it will make money.
Claims by NorthernStar that the plant will help the salmon runs seem ludicrious; it will be interesting to read the study to see where the company comes up with its claims.
Reality is, we need more energy sources, and this will provide alternate sources.

Check the Daily Astorian. One of the members of the Public Utilities Commision has come out stating that the report done by the Department of Energy comes to untrue conclusions.
