Accused Seaside Rapist Has First Court Appearance

A man accused of kidnapping and raping a 16-year-old Seaside girl faced a judge Monday afternoon.

I wish Alden could know right now how much we support him and wish he was back at home with his family. I just strongly think that the story seems a bit far fetched and I hope the truth comes out in the end for everyones sake.

This is outrageous! I have never heard such lies. Alden Buchholz is one of the kindest young men I know. He is a true gentleman, anyone who knows him will support that truth. He is a thoughtful, considerate person who has always been devoted to his family and friends. In his community he is well liked and popular. It is not helpful to try him in the news before all the facts are even known. Please give him the same consideration you would want and deserve ...innocent until proven guilty.

This is definitely not true, I have known alden since I was little and there is no way he would ever even think to do something like this. He is a good person.

WHERE IS THE EVIDENCE? This whole incident appears to be going off of hear-say from a young, troubled girl. There needs to be some substantail evidence and real facts here before the system even attempts to take Alden down. I have known Alden for over 10 years and consider him to be one of my best male friends. He would never hurt any female. He was raised in a strong, religious family and not only has a kind spirit but a loving heart. He is caring, has a great sense of humor and is a gentle person. He's not an angel (who is?), but he is no kidnapper, rapist, sodomist or whatever else the news is saying about him. It's not true. Nothing like this has EVER happened in his life and it is all so out of character for Alden Buchholz. I hope and pray that the truth will set him free.

this girl is scarred. her father is alocal doctor. the family made this story up so he would end up the doc whos daughter is a regular sea side corner post.his rep would be lost...... the story is to fishy i live in granite falls born and raised i know alden very well i went to church capm with this guy.

We should have a chance to know of this girl’s character? From all the earlier post's it sounds like Alden is a great person and this accusation is largely out of Character. I know by law the victim has rights that protect her identity but information on her character could still be given with out her identity being revealed... It should only help her, unless she has a scandalous background and learning more of her character would show her true destructive life pattern.
