It's not the dog, is the owner that is mauling little children

People who insist that pit bulls and rottys are the sweetest dogs on earth are WRONG. They should not have those breeds if they have small children.
Children do not recognize the message that the dog gives when they have had enough play so they are attacked. Adults who have those dogs around children are completely irresponsible and should be charge with child endangerment.

Cause / effect. Can't really be all to sympathetic when the family dog, which just happens to be one of two breed that seem to 'maul' other dogs and children on a semi regular basis, ends up mauling a member of the family.

So if someone happens to show up on one of those lame dime a dozen reality show's, they are now considered 'reality stars?' Lame.

See, this is why I don't like Rottweilers.

Wow! You would think after animal control had already removed one Rott from the property, for biting an adult, that the owners would've thought twice before still keeping Rotts when there was a child in the family.
Sorry to hear of this horrible loss. What a tragic death for this young child!

They should arrest the adults in this case for murder.
It's he Dogs that kill no matter how well they are trained. They can turn on a small child in a second.
Anybody who says it's the owners who kill are Idiots. In all cases it's the Dogs who kill and all owners should be prosecuted for Murder.
If you own a Large Dog and have a child in the home this can happen to you no matter how sweet the Dog is most of the time

No matter what the defenders of these pits and rottys say, it is the breed. One child was mauled by a pit bull that she had grown up with.
The dog was a pup when she was born and she was eight when he mauled her. Eight years of sweetness before violence. The problem is the breed. I have had dogs all my life and I have had children who have visited to play with them. When the kids get too carried away the dogs let them know. If they dont back off the dog snaps at them.
They do not bite or maul them. These breeds are bred to fight and when that gene kicks in they cannot stop. It is in their blood and no amount of training can change that.

Tragic, but proof that Darwinism happens. Lets hope that these idiots do not try to breed again and pass on their deficiencies to their spawn. People that own animals as fashion accessories or insecurity compensators are idiots period. My condolences to the dogs for probably being abused and not properly trained and excecised.

Charge the parents for having a dangerous animal near a small child. That dog was just acting like a dog. That's what these dogs do it's their nature. You don't see poodles as watch dogs. It's the parents fault.

Throw the parents in jail and charge them with manslaughter. Remove ALL other dogs and children from the home. Mindnumbingly sub moronic human beings.

A lot of times people come to say that those are very nice dogs, the owner are the ones who make them wild.

Yeah, Rottweilers. I'll bet these macho image retentive people who own those animals drive around in the biggest, loudest and highest diesel powered trucks that their money can buy, are tattooed and wear their hats backwards. Unfortunately, having a child killed by their own "pets" won't do much to dim their macho self image. At home we do not watch shows that sport stupidity and machoisms. Bigger and badder is not especially better and can actually be harmful.

What kind of brain dead loser blames the Dog?

What kind of lame parent puts their child in any potentially dangerous situation by choice?

So sad for the little girl and the dog.
