As far as I know Oregon is the only state that has such a law.
I live in Illinois and I seen a program about this and what people had went through with cancer and other diseases. When is enough and it's time to stop the suffering.
If you put all the religous crap aside there is nothing dignified about dying of cancer but having the right to choose how you want to die is a big deal.
