Canton prison guard shoots tire; woman arrested

The Illinois River Correctional Center in Canton is under lockdown after an officer shot a woman's car tire Friday night for allegedly driving at high speeds through the parking lot and toward an officer.

Let me try to splain this for you. Topix is a place where published news stories from the area/region which is of interest locally. This means that there are a number of different topics here. These stories are either posted here on Topix automatically or by myself and can be topics of/for discussion by making a comment on that particular news story which then becomes a topic which you just created by placing a comment on that story. This particular story was published yesterday in the Peoria Journal Star about an incident which happened in Canton and resulted in a lockdown at the Canton prison. This story has nothing to do with any other topic here on Topix, it is a new topic...lol. I hope that this clarifies what topics are on Topix, and that Topix is not just one topic. You see, Topix is topics not just one topic as created by visitors/readers just like you.

Yup, please don't take my post out of context, I have done the same thing you did and was just trying to have a litte fun with the Topix topics and interject a little fun in with all the bitterness and bickering that happens sometimes.
