Dateline Gettysburg? An auto accident in Adams Co.?
Why is the Public Opinion publishing items with little, or no, local interest?

"Aspers man gets crash at mailbox"
This is the type of expert journalism we all expect from the P.O.!
Keep up the good work and if you need it, I'm sure some 4th graders could consult you on proof-reading.

I see they charged the old guy for pulling on the wrong side of the road....so when or why don't they charge these newspaper delivery guys for constantly pulling into opposing traffic to get to someones paper box instead of planning thier route the way the post office does so they are on the right side of the road for the delivery. It is only a matter of time before someone gets killed because they have little or no respect for others on the road.

Stupid headline.

That aside, my neighbor does this all the time -- at the base of a blind hill that people speed over all the time -- and I worry that one day someone is going to plow into him. Heck, I worry about the trash truck that stops there each week. A driver won't have but a second or so to react.

But, I can thank the powers-that-be who made the decisions as to where our driveways and mailboxes were to be located. I would have put them at the top of the hill allowing for good site distance and making entering and exiting the driveways safer as well as accessing mailboxes and trash pickup.

I can personally attest that paper delivery people have been warned and CITED for this!!!

You may see it many times, but the police may not!!! Plus you honestly thing the paper delivery person would do this if they see an officer?

I see people do this quite often. Some have the nerve to put on their 4-way flashers to make it seem "ok" in their mind.
