My heartfelt prayers go forth for the coffee shop owner. Not only did he lose his livelihood business but also his abode. His employees have also been displaced by this horrific fire. We must give thanks, that no human lost their lives. Tragic heartbreak for the owner of the cat that died. I also will include you in my prayers.Peace

Thanks to all the volunteers that worked this fire! Without you this could have turned into a huge disaster. Good job! Now people should quit commenting on the investigation and using it for their personal gain and let the police do their jobs.

Check with the folks on boroughvent.com
You can bet someone there knows who did this.
I checked this site and there's no new post in any thread. I am sure someone knows something as far as the Borough goes. I'm very thankful for the men and women who help quench this blaze, but its a shame our officials in office would do this instead of being more open minded!

In one breath, you rant about how people are trying to tie this to the casino debate and then you turn around and make this ignorant accusation. Careful hon... you may end up with a lawsuit hanging over your head. You just can't help yourself can you?
Who would file the lawsuit and for what, "hon"? Please enlighten us with your vast knowledge on this subject.

I can assure you that if I for one had any proof of who did this I would have been sitting in the local police station while the fire was still going on telling all. And I would hope anyone else who has any information will volunteer it and not wait to be contacted by law officials.

Once again I think we should pray for all those affected by this tragedy.

I guess you missed where the poster before the post you quoted me from tried to tie this despicable crime to Boroughvent. I guess you also missed where Mrs Paddock came on another thread and tried to flat out say that the arsonist is certainly Pro Casino and then came on later after public reaction and retracted her statement. Crawl back under your rock.

You are so right on!! I viewed the slideshow of the fire. Such a small boxed in area.I am sure it was scary for the Fire Dept. volunteers working that nite.Kudos to them and the Police Dept.personnel. When I read about cities laying off the Fire and Police Department staff; I ask myself "What are you thinking"?. All about the almighty buck! Just as you would say "thank you" to a soldier on the street, please honor these volunteers by doing the same. ROCK ON

Yep Mom... that's right. It's wrong when Ms. Paddock or anyone else does it, but because they did, it's now OK for you. Is that what you teach your kids? Speakin' of rocks, you don't seem to have any problem throwing them either. I am glad to hear you feel this crime(and that is what it was) was despicable.

Leave my kids out of this unless you would like yours drug into it? So in your perfect little world we are all just suppose to let the inmates run the asylum and say anything that they want? Yeah, that works out well ALWAYS. Oh and are you aware that according to every newspaper but this one (that Mrs Paddock and her followers ran onto and tried to spin this into being part of the casino issue) is reporting that there is no cause of the fire yet because the investigation is not complete. There has been no reports anywhere but the Sun that it was arson to the point that they Times had a report that it has not been ruled arson yet. Some interesting points in that article.

http://www.gettysburgtimes.com/news/article_8...

"The cause of a Friday morning fire on Gettysburg’s Chambersburg Street that damaged four structures has not yet been determined, according to the Gettysburg Borough manager – despite reports that the blaze has been ruled arson."

And this quote:

"Hiram Sasser, one of Wega’s lawyers, would not comment when asked about what appeared to be a drum, such as one used to carry oil, that was found at the scene. He also would not comment when asked if extension cords were used to deliver electricity to the chapel.

“We will wait for the official investigation report to come out,” he said.

Yes, this is a despicable crime whether it turns out to be arson or an accident that could have been prevented had the owner of the chapel complied with the law and the building codes that all other businesses have to comply with.

Are you threatening me Mom? Your screen name alone indicates that you have kids Mom, let alone the ongoing dialogue you have had with Wild Bill and so many others about your children. How would you know if I even have kids?
Again, I appreciate the fact that you call this "crime" despicable. You refer to it as a crime, and then in the same sentence you say it hasn't been proven yet? Interesting. I think you know as well as I do, that this was an arson and will be proven so soon.
Now, you want to blame Mr Wega that "his" chapel was burned down? To code or not to code, if someone wanted to set this fire, they were going to do it. If it was done "because" he was not to code, that make this crime even more despicable and even more suspicious as to who was behind it.
By the way Mom, the chapel is NOT a business. It was a replica of an historic structure. He charges nothing to attend his sevices, he charges nothing to hold wedding services there, he charges nothing to attend the civil war era presentations.

Yes, I believe it was arson. I have no idea why nor whom and neither do you or Mrs Paddock. I prefer to wait until the police complete their investigation instead of speculation on pure conjecture. I never blamed Mr Wega for his chapel burning down I simply pointed out that had his building been up to code the damage might not have been as intense for the other victims.

By the way "two wrongs" this is also Gettysburg Baseball mom" who presently is using about 6 different names on these sites. I think she has at least that many split personalities from here ramblings. It has now been classified an arson fire. I am waiting to find out who the parents are of the teenagers. Then we will know why the fire was set.

We all know who she is. She is the reason I'm even on here. The nightly banter is highly amusing. She is a hoot isn't she? Her ongoing love affair with Wild Bill, her blind devotion to her beloved King David...
