Wow, if this fire was intentionally set as some are believing it was, I hope they, the culprits face the most severe retribution the LAW can hand down.

But, that is the problem, it seems, that some people give no thought to the law and operate within its confines., only saying that, if I don't get caught then I'm not hurting anyone.

If this act was committed by teenagers, this isn't just a couple of kids out drinking a couple of beers and chucking some beer bottles, this is a willful act of TERRORISM.

To me, being a former Marine, there were times I sought counsel from the company chaplain or just went into a chapel to work out in my mind the things I was being asked to do in the name of this great country.{To me, speaking to God is a very personal private act} This act causes me to pause and think about those soldiers who used a chapel like what Wega has recreated for the same purpose during the civil war and I wonder how can someone do this? How can anyone dishonor so many military men and women because you don't like someones faith?

Funny how someone said they saw 3 teenagers hanging around. Not all teenagers are bad kids. So IF they did it, and I say IF then they should be pumished. But if not, then people need to stop blaming teenagers for everything that goes wrong.

This to me does sound like arson, unfortunately, this does happen quite alot in the Adams/York county area.
Thanks psp

What kind of Good teenagers are out running around at 3:30 in the morning? That seems a little fishy to me!

Where you not a teenager at one point in your life? Now I am not saying that all teenagers are good, they are all not bad either, but come on, didn't you ever goof off with your freinds at that time of the night. I know that I have and I am far from perfect. Yes, they could have done it but I am really tired of the fact that people will always blame teenagers for everything that goes wrong in this world.

Doesn't G-burg have a curfew? Regardless if the three teenagers were involved or not, at 3:30 Am they should have been home, not roaming the streets.

I didn't know this was the controversy chapel, I guarantee you it's arson, just because the paper hasn't been told doesn't mean the police don't know. The news is the last place to get any info on any kind of case.

I've always taught my teenagers that nothing GOOD ever comes from teenagers on the street after midnight.

I'd have to agree with Seems2Me. I was a teenager, but at 3:30 in the morning, I was not running the streets. I had a curfew when I was a teenager, and I was off the streets by 11, unless I was at work.

There is a curfew that should have been enforced; the teenís surety are not supposed to be out at three in the morning running the streets. Teens are great, but the fact is asking any teen why they are out after midnight. Or adult if they are out! Most all store are closed, only business open is bar or 24 hour restaurants. There is two things that are goingon ,moving to another location, as home or friends. Two they are out trying to fine something to do. Usually which results in illegal activity, why the curfew laws are made?

Being a former Marine also, there were times I too sought counsel from the chaplain or just went into a chapel to work out things in my mind. Those soldiers used a chapel during the civil war and today people appreciated the historical relevance of the meaning? Dishonoring so many military is a disgrace. Iím glad it made it to federal jurisdiction.

Peer Pressure is at it's most high amongst teens in these times. "I Dare You" is a common question to them in everyday life. Not all children have a two parent family. Perhaps the one parent they do have; has to work two jobs. They want to fit in,they crave attention and need to know that their existence is important. Yes, by all means have a town curfew for teens. This alone will let them realize someone does care about them as individuals.

What a sad day when something likes this happens. But honestly... for something to burn like that, based on the pictures, it was obvious that an accelerant was used to spread the fire. I'm certain the authorities already know what was used. Also, there are several 24/7 security cameras in use in the area, so it will be no problem looking at those to see what activity there was at that time or who was moving around at that time. Also, if there were "teenagers" out at that time and they were innocent, then the smartest thing they could do is come forward and remove themselves from suspicion while helping provide information. Lastly... if I was investigating this incident... if that was a for sale sign I saw in front of the house next door, in this market... I'd take a long hard look at the homeowner.

I spoke wiht some people that were coming and going from the fire and they were told that it is leaning towards arson but it wasn't 100% verified.

Curfew violation if they are teens. But I agree with you just because they are hanging out does not make them guilty. Hanging out is what teens do.

Just wanted to say thank you to ALL personnel whether firefighters, EMS, fire police, LEO, Red Cross, etc. that came out to assist in the mitigation of this incident. Without all of us coming together in a unified way this operation, it could have been a longer night then what it was. Thank you all.
