Aspers Fire department has been removed from all of Bendersville and Arendtsville Fire Boxes located within Menallen Township with the Vote and Support of the Township. Also the Township is requiring a Forensic Audit of Aspers Fire Department Financil records!

Menallen Township has voted to drop Aspers from over two thirds of it's township and is requiring them to have a financial audit completed by July. This action was taken at thier last meeting last week. Wonder why this has not been in the papers.

Newspapers are dropping the ball on this one. You would think people in Menallen Twp would want to know why a finacial audit has been ordered? Especially those that have donated money to this fire department.

Have to agree with Opie. I wonder why they are not covering this story?

Ok, so here is my take on all of this. Should they be shut down? Absolutely.
1. They are unqualified - but claim to be
2. They staff there Ambulance with EMT's straight out of getting certification without having someone shadow them to make sure that they make no mistakes.
3. There responses to calls may be quick, but come one folks are 2 people on an engine going to be able to put out a house fire.
4. There ambulance is always first out the door on any call.... What do they plan on using, sterile water off the ambulance to put fires out?
5. Even if you replaced every single memmber and bring in new, that dept has so run a muck that no one would ever trust them again.
6. On every single call they have to have someone tell them how to utilize the best equipment for the call or it become a cluster f**k!
7. I would love to see those audits done. For I question how much of appropriated funds Alexander has used for personal purposes.
8. He claims he wants unity and trust.... Well trust is earned and unity will not happen unless that jerk is out of the fire/ems business period.
9. And just so you all know, I refuse to let Aspers Ems work on me period. I would rather lay on the floor and die then have anyone from that department work on me.
10. SHUT THEM DOWN FOR THE BETTER OF THE COMMUNITY!~!!!!!
