My husband is from Huntsville, Alabama and we were surprised to know there was a place with his last name. Are there any people out there with the last name Sledge?

I was born and grew up in Sledge, MS. There was a Sledge family there. Some of the family members are in Memphis, Tn.One I have heard of is Bill Sledge that worked for NBC Bank In Memphis, TN for a long time.
