Facts just killed the Obamacare haters: How the lunatics finally lost all credibility
Previously, Republican lawmakers' hysteria was taken seriously. But in the face of stunning data, it's a new day
The CBO, in collaboration with the Joint Committee on Taxation, project that 12 million more nonelderly people will have health insurance in 2014 than would have had it in the absence of the ACA. They also project that 19 million more people will be insured in 2015, 25 million more will be insured in 2016, and 26 million more will be insured each year from 2017 through 2024 than would have been the case without the ACA. These coverage figures are upward revisions from CBOs last estimate. And it will all come at a cheaper price, too:The agencies now project a net cost of $36 billion for 2014,$5 billion less than the previous projection for the year; and $1,383 billion for the 20152024 period,$104 billion less than the previous projection.(As CBO clarifies,Those estimates address only the insurance coverage provisions of the ACA, which do not generate all of the acts budgetary effects. Many other provisions, on net, are expected to reduce budget deficits.) And the lower net costs of the ACA stem from the fact that insurance plans being offered are cheaper than what the CBO had originally projected them to be.
On top of what CBO says that the ACA is providing coverage for 12 million more than otherwise would have had it in 2014 alone, for cheaper than expected a number of early surveys suggest that the numbers dont lie: between 5 and 10 or so million, on average, have already picked up coverage.

IRS Among Agencies Using License Plate-Tracking Vendor
The Internal Revenue Service and other U.S. agencies awarded about $415,000 in contracts to a license plate-tracking company before Homeland Security leaders dropped a plan for similar work amid privacy complaints.
Federal offices such as the Forest Service and the U.S. Air Forces Air Combat Command chose Livermore, California-based Vigilant Solutions to provide access to license plate databases or tools used to collect plate information, according to government procurement records compiled by Bloomberg.
Vigilant, a closely held company, has received such work since 2009. In February, Jeh Johnson, secretary of the Department of Homeland Security, ordered the cancelation of an immigration agency plan to buy access to national license plate data.
While the technology can help solve crimes, the American Civil Liberties Union and other groups have said the mass collection of data infringes the privacy of innocent people.
Especially with the IRS, I dont know why these agencies are getting access to this kind of information, said Jennifer Lynch, a senior staff attorney with the Electronic Frontier Foundation, a San Francisco-based privacy-rights group.
These systems treat every single person in an area as if theyre under investigation for a crime -- that is not the way our criminal justice system was set up or the way things work in a democratic society.

Ever notice when you bring up the success of Obamacare with facts instead of Faux Noise and the Daily Caller, or the National Review the teabaggers switch to another topic ? Cant hide the facts or spin it to your advantage. Must be hard work digging up lies and going back to Obamacare. It will never be repealed,it's the law.
It will help out millions of people that were turned down for pre exiting conditions, women with breast cancer and insure the disabled vets fighting in Bush's 2 wars to get healthcare.

The more aware we are of who is entering a military facility, the better we are able to protect the lives and equipment on that base, Newell said in a phone interview.
NetChoice, a Washington-based trade association that represents e-commerce businesses, is concerned that groups opposing the tools offer no recognition at all of the benefits of license plate recognition in stopping crime or saving lives, said Steve DelBianco, its executive director.
Companies that collect the data or sell the technology have strict guidelines about who can obtain records, he said.
Our governments require us to display a plate on our cars, visible on the front and back in public, for a reason, DelBianco said in a phone interview.A lot of the concern is a knee-jerk reaction to Snowden revelations.
Besides that any cop in America can get your license plate number ,get your name ,date of birth, address, etc. This isn't new .How lame can you be?

Fox News Poll: Christie, Bush and Paul are top GOP picks -- today -- for 2016
Overall, Clinton has the highest name recognition of those tested. In addition, by a four-point margin, more voters have a favorable than an unfavorable view of her (49-45 percent). The other candidates each have a net negative rating, which means more voters have an unfavorable than a favorable view of them.
For example, Christies rating is 36 percent favorable, 38 percent unfavorable. For Bush its 32 percent favorable, 40 percent unfavorable. Some 32 percent view Paul favorably, while 34 percent have an unfavorable opinion. For Cruz its 23 percent favorable, 31 percent unfavorable.
The Fox News poll is based on landline and cell phone interviews with 1,012 randomly chosen registered voters nationwide and was conducted under the joint direction of Anderson Robbins Research (D) and Shaw & Company Research (R) from April 13-15, 2014. The full poll has a margin of sampling error of plus or minus three percentage points. The results among Democrats and Republicans have an error of plus or minus five points.

Is there an ethics investigation in Rep. Cummings future over IRS emails with Lerner?
Congressman Elijah Cummings, the ranking Democrat on the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, could be facing an ethics investigation if Cleta Mitchell has her way.
Mitchell a partner at Foley & Lardner and the legal counsel for True the Vote in its case against the IRS for its targeting of conservative groups is pursuing Cummings over his conduct in the wider investigation.
In the fall of 2012, True the Vote received a series of letters eight, nine, 10 page letters from Elijah Cummings out of the blue, conducting what he claimed was his investigation of True the Vote, she continued.
Now mind you, the jurisdiction of the House Oversight & Government Reform Committee is federal agencies. It is not private citizens groups in Houston, Texas.
On behalf of True the Vote, we filed a complaint against Rep. Cummings on February 6 with the Office of Congressional Ethics asking the Office of Congressional Ethics to investigate whether Rep. Cummings or any member of his staff had played any role in getting any of the agencies that went after Catherine Engelbrecht and her family after she became involved with True the Vote.
Two IRS audits about the business, her personal tax returns, two visits from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms, a surprise visit from OSHA, seven visits from the FBI. I mean, these are not coincidences.
And so we wanted to know what role Rep. Cummings or any of his staff had played in any of that and why Rep. Cummings undertook to misrepresent that he was conducting an investigation of True the Vote, which we think was in violation of House rules.

Whoops! Half of Georgias Insurance Enrollees Havent Paid Yet.
April 21, 2014
This seems rather important:
Georgia insurers received more than 220,000 applications for health coverage in the Affordable Care Acts exchange as of the official federal deadline of March 31, state officials said Wednesday.
Insurance Commissioner Ralph Hudgens, though, said premiums have been received for only 107,581 of those policies, which cover 149,465 people.
Many Georgians completed the application process by the deadline, but have yet to pay for the coverage, Hudgens said in a statement Wednesday.
Half? Half? Sure, the nonpayment rates will be a lot lower in other places. But this indicates how much skepticism is warranted for the administrations much-touted enrollment figures.
When Progressives insist that were wrong and Obamacare is more popular than it seems, theyll point to the enrollment numbers.
They dismiss the national surveys, but theres some indication that Obamacares meager support in the polls is actually worse than we think, because its being artificially boosted by respondents that are eager to declare the whole thing a success, no matter how their state exchange is actually performing.

Kerry 'very pleased' at Syria compliance over chemical weapons
October 7 2013
Secretary of State John Kerry lauded Syria Monday, saying he was very pleased at news that experts had already begun the process of destroying Syria's chemical weapons arsenal.
In unusual praise for Damascus, Kerry also gave the government of President Bashar Assad credit for quickly complying with the United Nations resolution on destroying its chemical weapons.
Obama administration:'Indications' chemical weapons used, again, in Syria
April 21, 2014
The Obama administration said Monday it has "indications" chemical weapons were used in Syria earlier this month, and is investigating whether the Assad regime might have been responsible.
State Department spokeswoman Jen Psaki discussed the allegations a day after French President Francois Hollande said France also had indications the regime is still using chemical weapons.
Bashar Assad's government last year agreed to ship chemical weapons out of his country following a sarin gas attack, as part of a deal to de-escalate tensions with the United States and its allies.
President Obama had declared the use of chemical weapons a "red line," but backed off threats of military force following the agreement.

Dem Congressman on Obamacare: The Worst Is Yet to Come, Its Going to Hit the Fan
April 21, 2014
Massachusetts representative Stephen Lynch isnt just worried about the negative impact Obamacare will have on his partys performance this fall he also thinks its worst effects on our health-care system are still to come.
Lynch, who voted against the Affordable Care Act in 2010, warned that the situation is going to hit the fan when the laws delayed provisions go into effect down the road.
There are parts of Obamacare, or the Affordable Care Act, that were postponed because they are unpalatable, he told Boston Herald Radio.
The Cadillac tax that goes into effect in a few years, he said, will be the first time in this countrys history that we have actually taxed health care.

Fox News Poll: Many voters say Obama lies to the country on important matters
April 16, 2014
About six in ten American voters think Barack Obama lies to the country on important matters some or most of the time, according to a Fox News poll released Wednesday.
Thirty-seven percent think Obama lies most of the time, while another 24 percent say he lies some of the time. Twenty percent of voters say only now and then and 15 percent never.
President Obama has been accused by political opponents and media fact-checkers alike of telling falsehoods.
Frequently cited: His repeated claim that under Obamacare If you like your plan, you can keep it and his insistence that the day after Benghazi happened, I acknowledged that this was an act of terrorism.
The number of voters saying Obama lies most of the time includes 13 percent of Democrats. It also includes 12 percent of blacks, 16 percent of liberals, 31 percent of unmarried women and 34 percent of those under age 30 -- all key Obama constituencies.

Betty Bowers Opens Halfway House Exclusively For Bush Children !!!
(Tallahassee, Florida) America's Best Christian, Mrs. Betty Bowers, has announced plans to open a halfway house exclusively for George and Barbara Bush's grandchildren. "We wanted it to be available to others, but with the nursing shortage, we are probably going to be too busy already just attending to the sundry addictions of America's First Family of Politics," said Mrs. Bowers as she cut the ribbon. "Whereas White House occupant Betty Ford opened a facility to keep Liza Minnelli off the street, this is a way of returning the favor by finally providing a place for people in the White House to dry out."
"When I saw the mug shot of Noelle Bush on CNN I didn't recognize her at first" said Mrs. Betty Bowers on FOX News. "I instinctively asked my personal shopper Anne Thrope if all of our Christian Crack Whores in Tallahassee were accounted for. I remember running into Noelle at the GOP convention in Philadelphia, but she didn't have the glassy-eyed look of someone who pops curiously strong Xanax and Vicodin like Altoids. And believe me, as spiritual advisor to Laura Bush, that is a look I would have recognized. When Bar told me to keep an eye on the addict, I thought she was directing my attention to the podium for the acceptance speech. Fortunately, with Jenna and Barbara two seats away, I was keeping a close watch over my purse anyway. And we were all on edge after Liddy Dole's bag the oversize one covered in carpet had been rummaged through. Nine of her cute little airline bottles of Captain Morgan were missing before the invocation."

Are you always so hysterically angry? You've exploded into another embarrassing hissy fit without knowing the facts.
You can't blame land line phones for those uncomfortable poll results:
"The Fox News poll is based on landline and cell phone interviews with 1,012 randomly chosen registered voters nationwide and was conducted under the joint direction of Anderson Robbins Research (D) and Shaw & Company Research (R) from April 13-15, 2014. The full poll has a margin of sampling error of plus or minus three percentage points."
Most voting Americans believe Barack Hussein Obama is untrustworthy and a liar. Sad but true. 13% of Democrats believe Barack Hussein Obama lies MOST of the time.
Poor Barack is ethically challeneged and a victim of his own poor character.
There, sweetheart, does it feel better to hear it that way?
