A 15 year old girl died Friday night after the horse she was riding ran into traffic.

This is so sad. My heart goes to the family. I am glad the the horse is ok, but wonder if the horse got hurt. They did not say. But like they said animals do get spooked. This is just so sad. I would be freaking out if I saw the girl, I am sure this person did.

We are very sorry to hear of this tragedy. This happened just down the street from our house. We have seen Chastity and her sister riding horses in our neighborhood many times. They are both experienced riders. We know the horse she was riding. It breaks our heart to hear this news. Our prayers are with her family at this time. We also pray for the driver of the car as this is a very difficult time for him as well.

There are NO words that could adequately describe how my heart hurts for the Marsh family...and Mr. Brunney too... Life can change so dramatically in the blink of an eye. This story particularly hits close to home -- I have a 17 year old daughter that rides horses and it scares me every time she gets on these massive, unpredictable animals. AND I have buried a child... So I can truly empathize with the Marsh family. May you feel the thoughts and prayers coming your way and allow those that care about you to carry you through this horrific time in your lives.... And even though we don't know you, Chastity will not be forgotten...

I am so sorry to hear about this. My heart goes out to all involved. I too ride horses. Due to many reasons, I will not ride near or on the roads. Horses spook, and although probably not in this tragic case, some people think it is just so funny to honk at you when coming up behind while riding.
