Best wishes for a speedy recovery to Nala. The K9 units are the best. I always say "Good for the puppy", they got another one. May you two be partners in crime for a long time.

Whoever posted this spelled the dogs name "Nala" at top and at lower end of the article it is spelled "Nahla" I.E.

Injuries like Nahla's can deplete the funds quickly.

Don't you mean "Partners in crime fighting?" Anyway we know what you meant. Those dogs are nothing to mess with. If a criminal is going to try to outrun a police dog, then (s)he needs to do a huluva lot better than he did. Glad that the dog will be OK.

From the video looks like the officer has a hard time controlling the dog.

Seriously if the vet was community minded he could and would donate some of his time and cost. After all these dogs do help to protect his community.

Very happy the dog is going to be ok, but does anyone proof these stories? The dog's name is spelled 2 different ways and I think they meant to say the dog grabbed the guy's ankle, but said the officer did.

Hope this officer makes a speedy recovery. Seems like deadly force would have been in order, too bad this criminal is in jail and not the morgue.
