History may show that the Israeli attack on the USS Liberty was one of the most significant incidents of the 20th century. Israel saw that it could literally get away with murdering American servicemen, yet continue to receive ever-increasing amounts of American tax money (about $7-10 million per day).

However, as Americans learn about this ruthless attack, many are also learning the facts about Israel's history and current actions, and are therefore starting to demand an end of US aid to a nation whose principles are the antithesis of American ones.

Israel has recieved $60 Billion in aid from us since their creation. Thats roughly 1 bil a year, which means almost 3 mil a day (still a lot of money though)

Who wants the Liberty material released at this time and what is their motive? It could be to drive a wedge between US and Israel preventing coordinated efforts against Iran and Korea.

Actually, former KGB were blackmailing American sympathizers who were now wealthy and prominent. Apparently, the money was paid and that, as far as we know, was the end of it.

Yes, I want all the info, not part. Name the Soviet agents as well as release the Liberty material.

In the last 10 years I've heard of this, the Tonkin Gulf Res. and want to know the TRUTH. You spent 4 years in the Navy in the 60's-70's and never heard of Israel bombing the USS Liberty? Yikes. When this happened I was a Marine at Camp Geiger,NC preparing for war in Vietnam, then this broke out, and we were preparing for war in the Middle East. I did go to war in Vietnam, then Lebanon in the 80's and Middle East in 1990-91. Where were you? Stoned at Woodstock? Unbelieveable!
