Ashtabula Animal Shelter Overcrowded, Looking For Help | Ohio News Network (ONN)

I continue to see the effects of not spaying and neutering your pets, only to contribute to the vicious cycle of the unwanted pet population, and articles such as this.
Please. Spay and Neuter.
If I could take in more animals, I would absolutely adopt as many as I could, especially for $25.00

This agency's ads about overcrowding and needing adoptive parents are pure bull. I am a middle-aged teacher living in a beautiful neighborhood, very little traffic and a fenced-in yard. My cat has access to the backyard during daylight hours when I'm home; generally I sit out back with him. He can re-enter the house through a cat door whenever he wants. Tried to adopt a cat at APL yesterday. They prefer the animals languish in filthy cages and face death rather than my letting a cat out do enjoy the air and sun under supervision. Went to a rescue agency and now am providing a loving, safe home to a previously homeless cat.
