[Carol Quinlan]

My father was raised in Sugar Notch along with his many sisters and brother. Unfortunately, I didn't know him--he was killed in WW II while in the Army Air Corps. I was an infant at the time. Just wondering whether anybody knew the Carlins and, particularly, my father Andrew M. Carlin. He was born in 1917 and lived on Main Street. I'd love to know where he went to high school. Please respond if you knew him, or his family. Thank you.

How did you get the name Carolan? My father's father was born in the US. Thanks anyway.

What was your Grandfathers name and are you sure he was born in the US. Do you know where in Ireland they were from. My G grandfather has several brothers and sisters and there was an Anthony Carolan whose name was changed to Carlin when he arrived. He moved to the Ashley area of Luzerne Co. If it's not the same family that's fine just thought I would try.
