Scam Home Sellers and Realtors : BE WARE

Fraud/Scam. I have a house listed in Marengo. A local (Marengo) Realtor brought a buyer, cash buyer, rich family in Marengo, to close on the house in 2 weeks. My client (Seller) complied with all their requests, had amoving company come and pack up everything,disposed of items, holding an offer on another home out of state. For 3 weeks, the people that I will mention below, made us believe they had a very large trust account from his great-grandfather. The stories were very believable, espcially because this buyer came from the 2nd richest farm family in Morrow County. After having to postpone and postpone the closing, we (the seller and I) did our own research and found out there was no trustfund and the people that were buying the house didn't have ANY money. Both my seller and I are out significant amounts due this to scam. The story has a lot more too it than I can write in this space. I want all sellers of farms with land to be aware of these people: Rob and Kellie Bishop. They are scam artist, and know how to lie extremely well. Anyone know them?

I have a few thoughts.
1) If it's too good to be true it probably is.
2) No one wants to move to Marengo if they have money.
3) Didn't you do a credit check or verify funds? 4)I have lived in Morrow Co my whole life and never heard of Bishop's. How do you come to the conclusion that they are the second (not the first) richest family in the county?
5) Why would you move your stuff out before closing or verifying funds? Did you get a deposit?
6)It sounds like you met your match. All realtors that I have dealt with could be classified as scam artists who know how to lie extremely well, too.
