I doubt any "witnesses" will come forward. This is just another thug shooting and they are not known for being honest law abiding citizens.

The break if it ever comes will be when there is a reward for the coward thug that murdered this man.

Money talks and so do "witnesses" when they can make a profit on their "knowledge".

Condolences to the family.

Accidentally??? So this was an accident? Then why we look any witnesses if that be the case? C.C. guess thay want shooter to say sorry. Then let him go. It be accident you know...BTW C.C. has never accidentally clubed someone to death. This person should have their carry permit taken way till they learn to handle gun better. I got Idea! Make take gun safety class as punnish.
My heart gos out to the family, my son was down there that same night it could have him.

I've said it before and I'll say it again....we need to wage war on the thug culture, not guns.

This is absolutely WRONG! The crime in Richmond is out of control. I moved here two years ago, originally from Seattle, a city 5 times the size of Richmond with a fraction of the crime and murders. The Richmond Police Chief and the Mayor of this city need to be held accountable for the out of control crime in this city. It is obviously their current methods of law enforcement are failing, Dear Mr. Mayor and Mr. Police Chief, GET OFF YOUR BUTTS AND EARN YOUR PAYCHECK!

"The front seat passenger said they ran down the hill into a grassy area and hid until police arrived."

Why did they hide? From police? or from other cars?

I'm guessing they hid because they didn't know who nor where the shooter was and they didn't want to be next. In a moment of fear, sitting in the car with your friend who was just 'randomly' shot it like sitting directly in the line of fire. They
did what they felt was right

They probably hid because they didn't know who was shooting at their car.

There are plenty of gun laws. Thugs don't obey laws.
Enforce the laws we have.

Hiding from the people that were shooting at them. Staying with the car would make them what is called "sitting ducks". Another term for easy target for the coward that shot at them.

Accidental shooting? No such thing. The person pulling the trigger is responsible for the direction of the round fired and everything it hits. Don't let some zealous lawyer take the media's word that this was accidental and allow this thug to get off easy. It is murder.

When guns are illegal, only criminals will have guns. Ask Great Britain and Australia.
