They lie and make all kinds of things about the job in both interviews and orientations. It's really just a door to door sales jobs trying to sell Kirby vacuums for $2,000 and only commission paid, if even that. They are always trying to make up excuses not to pay their workers the commission for sales they do get. They'll even lie flat out and say that it pays salary and not commission, but that's just another lie. It requires riding around 12 hours a day then trying to sell vacuums for nothing. It's mostly brain washed kids who still live at home and don't have to worry about bills or anything and are not doing anything else anyway working there, so it is just a big joy ride to them. Aside from them, it is then mostly ex-cons with felonies who can't get anything else working there as an idea of the kind of people you would be working with at that place. They are also the same company that went by Team Enterprises and got shut down last year for legal reasons and are now back under a new name at a new location trying their same stuff again. I guarantee it's only a matter of time before they get shut down for the same reasons, so your job won't even be secure there.

Wow! How things get twisted. I have been working with Team Navigator for 3 years and they were in no way shut down. In the process of removing an owner the business name had to be changed. I love this company. I have never had a problem receiving my paycheck. If I actually work the 5 days required for bonuses I make even more. I can't say I've never heard anyone complain because the hours are long but where else can you go that will reward you so well for your hard work and dedication. I'm guessing that the person that wrote this wasn't willing to work the program and I am angered that they would try to slander the name of a reputable company.

i started here about 4 months ago and it has been great. the staff is awesome, and they take great care of their employees, everyone is like a huge family here. I have seen this company reach out to people more than any other company i have ever worked for. The staff is great. I have never heard of anyone not getting paid... i mean yea maybe if they don't work... but go apply at McDonald's.. get offered the job.. then don't work... you won't get paid.. its how the world works. But i definitely recommend this company for people wanting to make money and build your career. i am thankful they gave me the opportunity!!!

Spouse Applied

Piscataway, NJ

#5 Nov 1, 2011
I'm thinking that the positive comments came from the owners or managers themselves since my spouse experienced the same as the first person who commented here. He went on an interview, and came back saying others waiting for the same interview looked as though they were anything but hard working. In fact, he also told me as they were leaving the interview, they were excited to be going out to the bar for some beers. He said he could tell this was a sales job although the hiring manager would not admit that, and he said that this was one of those jobs he knew was the last resort for those who absolutely could get nothing else. He walked out thinking...not for him.

It's weird that the person above named "spouse applied" doesn't even live in Columbia or Missouri for that matter. People get upset if they don't get hired somewhere, as it seems like your spouse didn't. I guess when he cheats on you, you blame it on the economy too. I don't know this company but as a hiring manager for a company in Columbia I see people like your "spouse" all the time. But I don't blame you, I guess your used to making excuses for him! Or maybe he was mad that he didn't get invited for a beer?

There are so many good people who get rinked into "jobs" like this one. Scams, multi-level marketing, get rich quick schemes. None of it works.

Unfortunately, not everyone is able to detect this stuff when they see it, and they end up being taken for a ride. The people who run the "business" should be ashamed of themselves!

Fort Rock - I'm just curious if your responding to this post because it's something to talk about or if you've actually worked for them? My ex worked for these guys for a year and half and then opened his own office down in St. Charles. We did break up but still talk occasionally and he's really happy with what he's doing. Just thought I'd throw that out there since everyone is bashing them...

i started this company about 3 months ago... and im not gonna lie i was very iffy at first! However... it has turned out to be very great. i mean i could see its not a job for everyone, but it makes you lot of money and there is quick advancement! With the world how it is today, how could you not give it a chance right? i mean i am 23 and finally can see myself building a career. Not only to mention i have brought home over $500 in one week working only 5 days! pretty sweet. So i mean, if you don't like it, don't bad mouth us... cause it is a great opportunity for people. And they hire for more than one position!

Shady Big Time

They ‘commission only’ pay felons; the felons attempt to case your joint under the premise of seeing all the rooms that need ‘one day only’ free carpet cleaning at 7:30 at night with no equipment on hand or legitimate reason to be in your neighborhood. The felons note the locations of the valuables, alarm system status (do you have one?), easy points of entry, and work schedule for a follow up appointment (when are you not here?) The marketing material is homemade crap with no phone number on it. They will attempt to force their way into your home and refuse to leave.
If they sell you the vacuum, you will be robbed twice; once when you buy it and later when they knock off your house. They might do both at the same time after they rape your wife, torture your children, and leave you lying in a pool of blood after forcing you to witness all of it at gunpoint? They are either totally illegitimate and everything posted is possible, or they have devised the worst sales and marketing plan ever. Either way, why would you ever consider letting them in your home?
Call the law and lock the door as soon as they knock. Big time shady operators, it’s only a matter of time before there is a major incident involving this fly by night company.

Be AFFRAID of THIS PLACE

Columbia, MO

#12 Feb 11, 2012
The people who post the bad things on here are the truth. They lie their butts off and scam people. My parents bought one of these vacuums when i was working there for $720 and then they came to my neighbors house and tried to get them to buy one for $1900. When they only buy them for $550. And orking there was awful. You work all kinds of hours and dont get paid and thy tell u in an unpaid orrientation that there is quick advancement and when you advance you are even more in the whole cause you have to pay for gas to run a crew and everything. THEY ARE A SALES COMPANY!!! And the staff is awful. The lady who does pay is always in a pissy mood and they all lie so much that thry forget what the truth is.... typical salesman. Be aware of this place and warn everyone you know. They post ads in the paper every week and on ccraigslist every day. Their numbers are 447 numbers and 8011, 8012, 8013 are the last four didgits. dont call them!!!
KIRBY COMPANY

this is a place that goes door to door and sells KIRBYS. They tell you there is a salary but there isnt. so don't be fooled. most of them you sell you dont even get paid on. and you have to work there for at least two weeks or no pay even if you make sales. They suck

Yes! The last three comments are right on the money! Everything they tell you at that place is a lie! They originally say it's salary and not commission and then it's the other way around and then you don't get any of the commission for sales you do make! 60-72 hours a week, ALL FOR FREE!!!!!! We could all be applying for a lot of different places as well as doing callbacks and probably get a legit job that actually does pay in that amount of time. Those looking for work will be even worse off if they waste time with this place! Don't waste time with Rainbow Vacuum either because a lot of their people are just trying to push sales offers disguised as job offers!

My boyfriend has been working for these people for about 2 months. We both are young therefor there arent many places thata pay well for inexperianced people. We have a kid and another on the way and he is working from 9 am until around ten thirty or eleven at night. So he is never around, and sometime silly things like the team leader gets arrested an hour and a half away and not getting home until 2 am! He worksa holiday sells a vacuum is supposed to be payed double and they sell the vacuum so cheap that he doesnt get any pay for the day. And yes it is only commision pay! And they are filling his head with 'only two years of this and you can be a millionaire'. Woopdie fucking doo

I applied for a customer service rep position with them, but was turned down saying they were going a different route with hiring. As it turns out, they are now looking for entry level csr's. I even had the experience, so to say the least I was upset that they did this. I called to see if I could reapply and was told I had to wait for 6 months. So it seems not only are they shady on their sales they are also shady on their hiring techniques. I will not apply with them again. So if anybody has had the same experience please post.
