They brand cattle, don't they? Have you considered seeking psychological help to curb your desire for self mutilation?

There are few things more ridiculous looking than some person walking around with metal piercing various parts of their body...especially the face. Those who engage in this fad obviously are lacking any real self esteem.

WOW!
Another closed minded idiot!
You should be branded just for that reason alone

I can't agree more...Dr. Suess once said "Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don't matter, and those who matter don't mind."

So, "Good Wine" you, my friend, don't matter.

I heard the 2" for $22 deal they were offering on the radio a few days ago - wonder if they would allow one to pay for the tattoo now, and do the work after Xmas? I want to give this to a friend for Xmas and the price is right...

I just find it very strange that so many of our young people would want to "Mark" themselves for life, and doom themselves to a life of 2nd class citizenry. No employer is going to hire someone who looks like a Freak Show for anything other than the most menial of jobs, and low wages. There is nothing wrong with a discrete tattoo that can be concealed by normal clothing, but when a person starts making themselves look like a Walking Billboard, or has chunks of scrap metal hanging from their faces, or embedded in their tongue, which makes them talk like they have some sort of speech impediment, they relegate themselves to a low level of public presence. Rest assured, most of those who participate in this Fad, will regret the day that they engaged in such activity.

However, if you are silly enough to do this to yourselves, you can be sure that when you are just barely getting by, financially, at age 40, someone else will be enjoying the good life that you could have had.

There is one good option....learn how to remove these "mutations". A few years from now, when these people mentally mature, there will be a thriving business for those who can restore their appearances to normal.

One issue with some piercings is they can be avenues of infection - tongue piercings are bad in this respect. Infection from a tongue piercing goes into the brain, and has been fatal (albeit not common). Anyone with a tongue piercing should see a doctor if they come down with a headache and fever.

I'm more concerned about the long term effects of clicking a ball of metal against the teeth, Doob. Enamel isn't that strong and once it is gone, it is gone, leaving the teeth open to further decay. Chips and cracks are not uncommon and costly to have fixed.

Not to mention that every single person I've known or encountered that had a tongue piercing, sounds like a retard with a bad speech impediment...

That being said, I went in an purchased one of the advertised deals, on a gift certificate, to be completed after the holidays.

The shop was clean and in a respectable area of town - I didn't need to worry about being rolled by a bum or a ganger. The counter help was as sweet as could be and completely helpful.

Seemed very professional to me.

Well all I can Say is; The difference between tattooed or pierced people and non-Tattooed or pierced is the ones with tattoos or piercings really don't care if you are not. But those who do not or will not have them judge by default!

People should respect the FREEDOM of choice we have for ourselves, that is unless they would rather be dictators of the communist party! In other words PLEASE mind your own business and we will mind ours politely speaking! I know people like to make a habit of Criticizing others but sometimes the should turn that eye on themselves first to judge the first to be criticized.

Actually seems you have the lack of self esteem. Self expression os a beautiful thing. As a native american body art os a major part of an amazing heritage.

The shop was clean. Very clean the service not so much. The girl at the front desk ally I believe her name to be was very helpful however there was a blonde girl there who didn't really know what she was doing and was quite rude ... very happy with my piercing.. and will be going back soon. Best price in town.

I've had two friends get tattoos at this shop and both were mis-spelled. Kids were running around everywhere unsupervised and in the tattoo areas. That can't be sanitary! I mean think about it... teeny kids running around with no shoes on, possibly stepping in ink drops containing customers blood.. GROSS! I don't recommend going here.

I certainly respect anyone's right to make themselves look as freakishly as they want...

I hope they respect that employers with good paying jobs available have a right not to hire someone who has gone out of their way to make themselves look freakish.

More likely... they will eventually declare themselves a disenfranchised minority and sue for discrimination against the willfully ignorant.

Okay, do NOT gO here. Alexis and Rich kids are yes always running around in back where they shouldn't be. I was taught how to pierce especially genitals on MYSELF AND MY BOSS RICH so he could see my vagina and made me touch his penis as if I were piercing it, not professional. He is a severe pervert. Like someone also said him and wife Alexis are ALWAYS running around the shop fighting insanely, cursing, and complaining about private issues in public. The girl who is supposedly "the front desk girl" that's so amazing her name is Keri or "tink" she my friends also has three kids, is a drug addict as many are and she has an attitude problem as well and doesn't know shit about tattoos or piercing but pretends as she does and she also is held responsible for sterilizing and let me tell you..:she doesn't know what the hell she's doing. Now as for the artists...there are only ONE good artist named Adam. As far as I knew the other Amanda and some random apprentices are terrible and Amanda doesn't know how to tattoo and was taught ON CUSTOMERS THAT SHE F ED UP THEIR SKIN! Now, seeing as how the owners owe months and months of rent, it's unsanitary, employees and service sucks; no one is qualified to do what they do, they're under investigation numerous times for fraud, DRUGS, etc you tell me would you trust them putting things in or on your body....DONT THINK SOOOO!:) ha ha blackthorn is the worst shop in town and I'm suprised they are still open!

I am a man of faith, and do not back away from the truth. Still, I realize it is important to be accepting of people wherever they are in life.

HOWEVER: When a person gets tattoos and piercings, they are embracing a culture of drug use, loose morals, criminal behavior and destitution! This is not a politically correct viewpoint, but it is the truth and validated by the words of this thread!

Well we live and learn....my other half took a position here during July, made the owners a great deal of money, while I assisted with paperwork, which i was NOT paid for....long story short the negatives above many proved to be true, so off we go to find a new studio with a lot more class. I hope that those with his work enjoy it.

This place IS a joke. I had gotten amazing work done there by Jay. Then when I called to make a touch up appt, the owner, Rich, said that he no longer worked there, but a "senior" artist can take care of my needs. Rich would be the only "senior" artist, and that's because he's old as dirt. Jay, Ted, and Sy were the only ones with any real talent. Kids ARE ALWAYS running around in pj's, and with no shoes on... Apparently non of the artists there are licensed, and if you ask were their license is, they say that it's in the back. SKETCHY!
AND a lady wanted to get a rose on her back, and someone tattooed a dick... That's classy right there.
Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere.

I have been going to the shop for over a year now. It is a very welcoming enviroment. They don't treat you like a typical tattoo shop would because it isn't a typical tattoo shop. When you step in the door you are treated like family. I have gotten numerous piercings here. I started getting piercings because the price was unbeatable...$30 for ANY piercing or 2 for $50. Most shops wanted at least $45 for one and that was above the waist, not to mention $120 below. Thats out ragous. I have gotten my hood and nipples pierced here and they were very professional. I didnt once feel uncomfertable. Not only are they very professional but they explain everything to you in detail. Terms you can understand. Since comming to this shop I am extreamly satistifed with the excellent service and quality of the tattoos as well as my numerous piercings.

I have been comming to this shop for over a year now because the service is amazing and the tattoos as well as my piercings have all turned out beautifully. I love the atmosphere. They don't treat you like a typical tattoo studio they treat you like family. I will continue to get all my tattoos and piercings at Blackthorn tattoo studio. The artists are wounderful not to mention the prices for tatoos and piercings are unbeatable.
