I am Kirks'(Curtis') older brother. I write to confirm that he is deceased. What I can tell you is that there is considerable discrepancy surrounding the events that lead to his demise. What we will never know for sure is the truth. We will never stop grieving.

My name is Victoria Burnham. The only reason that I have picked up this thread is that very recently I lost my Brother Stefan Burnham and I went on-line to see if anything had been written about him. So far I haven't found out anything about him but I was interested about your comments about your own brothers tragic death. The reason it particularly struck a chord with me was that my brother, Stefan, also died in controversial circumstances which have given rise to many hurtful and conflicting rumours. We have our beliefs about what happened in the closing hours of his life but like you, we will never know for certain what happened... all we do know is that, like Kirk, he will always be missed hugely by all of us. It would also be nice to think that somewhere in the dim and distant past maybe you, Stefan Burnham, and our Stefan are in some way related (distant cousins maybe)... He had a great passion for family (we are Scottish) and in particular the Burnham's that went to America and fought in the civil war. He had a congressional medal of honour that he proudly showed to practically everyone who stepped through the door. So I am sure that he would have been interested to know about other Burnhams around the world. We do not normally subscribe to this website, and may find it hard to find again... however if ever you would like to drop us a line my E-mail is victoriaburnham@hotmail.com. Sorry to hear about your loss (it's only been a month for us!). All the best, Victoria

I am Kirks older closer sister in age. His death is a mystery. I hope he knows he is very loved and greatly missed, as I think of him often. I saw a movie once about people who'd been in the Special Forces, leading me to believe that he might still be alive. I wish he could meet my son, as I'm told that they resemble each other. It's interesting that I almost named him Kirk, with no idea they'd look and act a like. They both are very smart and like to joke around alot. I Love you Curtis Carl Burnham. Debora (Burnham) Espling

Please contact your sister Debora to get in touch with me...I've tried to contact you for years, and just found this thread that I found by total accident today. I had forgotten that I was trying so hard to find information about Curtis all these years later...I have never stopped grieving either! He was very much loved by me also!
