<quoted text> Hi Jennifer, I have been investigating these type of things for over 25 years and would love to help you out. I will contact you by email soon, my email is [email protected] if you would like to contact me. My team knows the different types of hauntings, we can also bless and cleanse any spirit activity from the place or leave it there if that is what it wanted. Hope to be hearing from you soon.
My mothers aunt use to live the different colored brick on 168, she said the doors would fly open after being locked and something jerked the covers off of them. I've went to that house and it looks like someone lives there but no ones never there.

We call that house the "Snake House" because it looks like snakeskin with all the crazy, multi-colored bricks used in its construction. It's not far from where I live. It's also not far from where a young man (16) was killed in a car crash less than 50 feet from his own driveway.(Livingston was his last name).

Do you remember the house that was where hospice is now? It was supposedly haunted. Charlie Manson used to live over at Andover apartments and his uncle lived in that old house. He was found killed tied up and had his tongue cut out. The old cement factory in Ironton is really scary too.
There's a spot where a house seat used to be by Foodland (Well where foodland used to be) There's a couple of stairs going to nowhere. That's where Mother Maddox used to live.

It's not well known, but Cinemark Movies 10 across from the Town Center is haunted by a ghost known as Douggie. I worked there for four years and had many experiences. Most noticable was that I sometimes heard/felt my name whispered in my ear and felt a light tug on my hair when sitting in the upstairs breakroom. Other employees have shared stories of hearing voices in the lobby and seeing a man dressed in red and white in the same place. I've also heard of the swinging door behind the concession stand opening on its own. I often felt that something was watching me (even before I heard the stories).

Douggie seems to be friendly enough. He's never done anything malicious or threatening. He just sort of hangs around the building. I'd really like to know the story behind him. Does anyone know what was on the site before the theater was built?

Which house on 39th St? I had family that lived in a house there. It was decidedly haunted by a family member who died in one of the bedrooms.
No one ever died in the bedrooms of this house at 1027 39th and there are no ghosts in it. One family owned it a long time and then it was sold. Sorry no ghosts....no dead people.

just because nobody died in this house does not mean that it isnt haunted. ghosts can attach themselves to objects or it could be a residual haunting. there are stories i have worked on where a person died elsewhere and returned to th place they were happiest

The unemployment office must be haunted, I never see any of the panhandlers, or junkies going near there.

Okay, the house I referred to is not that far up 39th St. It's 700 something, but I don't know exactly.

Haven't heard from you in a while. You got mad that I exposed you didn't you? You act like a woman but you are really a guy. You remember when I caught you? No wonder why you wouldn't let me meet you so I could do a tickle torture session with you last summer! I am shocked you have the nerve to get back on here!

there is many things that cannot see or hear with out explanations.Spirits are all around us. there are many places with residual hauntings as GhostHunters says its like a tape player being rewinded and replayed then there is poltergist hauntings and then intelligent hauntings.. I have seen and dealt with all of them from hearing screams and yells from abandoned coal mines.. the former movie warehouse store near the dollar store in summit plaza is haunted by a little boy and a another entity that is pure evil it was suppose to be over a very old grave yard. There is many places in Boyd County that has activity.Trace road near rt 3 on a rainy night you can see a girl.carter county has the rail road tunnels and a few miles up its called n gallus hill at norton branch because in the 1800s they use to hang people mostly slaves and indentured servants by the gallus on their over hauls till they died and you can see what appears to be bodies hanging from the trees in the mists. The cemetery on blackburn ave in ashland is haunted by a woman who hung herself from a tree near the pond at halloween cause her lover was killed. Waverly Hills Sanitorium is listed in the 10 most haunted places in america.
. Its funny movie warehouse (summitt plaza) was mentioned because I have a cousin that worked at the dollar general there beside the old movie warehouse and she said it was reay haunted, black shadows and things showing up on security cameras. This was only a few years ago too. It scared her enough that she quit.

. Reading through this forum I have noticed that that area ,around 24th and bath, keeps coming up as having activity. I lived around 24th or 25th and Montgomery when I was little and heard my name called. The house was right beside a "very festive" church. Now that whole area has been bought out and torn down by KDMC. It's a shame all that history is lost. Those were some pretty old homes.
