Wondering

Anyone else have problems with the women in scheduling and filing and records in the Ashland Pathways Outpatient clinic off Rt 60 (the one on the hill)?

I have consistently found the women in that department to be rude, bossy, demanding, manipulative, and disrespectful.

Dr. Khan and the therapist and the receptionist are all helpful and friendly while being professional.

I was in there last month and once again they asked questions that they didn't let me answer. guess I don't speak fast enough for them. They jumped in and provided their own answers, shoved papers in my face to sign, acted like I was an idiot for wanting to read the papers and like I was wasting their time and were in general, eager to find anything they could wrong with what I did and said.

Anyone else have an experience like that?

Exactly right! That's what I get out of them too. They don't treat the people who keep them in a job with any respect. It doesn't matter that a lot of the people who go there are poor and on welfare, that still pays their salary.

Them women need to find another line of work.

As far as personality that office staff could use some help in that area..maybe learn how to be nice to people.

Almost seems like they try to make people afraid of them to keep from being asked to do anything.

I can't stand them beetches! My mother goes there and I have to try to sit up her appointments and reschedule her times if something happens, and they know me. She has gone there for years. yet every single time i call, they give me the same damn run around. I have offered to sign a form, Mom has offered to sign a form giving them the right to talk with me, and they keep saying that it's not company policy to do that.

They are useless as tits on...well, I am sure you know the rest.

OMG!!! They say the same thing to me. They won't let my aunt sign a form that allows them to talk with me about her appointments and medication, because its "against company policy". Anything that would help the patient and families trying to take care of their loved one seems to be "against company policy"

In fact, anything that requires those gals to do anything at all to help you and to act like you are human is "against company policy" according to them.

I hadn't thought about it before, but you are probably right. If they keep us scared of them, then we don't ask and they get away with doing less. Makes sense. Enough.

I am going to start calling administration on them. Every single time. If that don't work, I am going to find out who is over Pathways. Somebody has to be in charge of letting them stay in business. Licensing or something.

I have enough on my plate without having to argue with the Queens of the appointment books.
Asking for Refund

Last time I was down there, a girl told me they had been illegally charging for copies of medical records. You are suppose to get your first copy for free. Charging us all these years has been against the law. I have to get copies to give to my disability attorney and they have charged me every single time.

Frankfort called them and told them that was against the law. Guess that means we are all due refunds for paying for copies they were suppose to give us. Bet they made thousands of dollars.

I am going to ask them for a refund.

Well, they gave me my free copy and then said anything after that I had to pay for.

So are you saying of the same records of the new stuff? Cause I always thought it was horrible that I had to pay for records I had never received before.

Sorry...messed up on that question...

Are you saying that if I wanted copies of stuff I had never received before then it was against the law to charge me for them? I can see charging me if they had given me a copy, but they gave me one copy (that had like 3 months of records in it) and then everything that happened after that for the next couple of years, they made me pay for and that included a lot of stuff they had never given me.

does that make sense?

First, I would like to say that I do not appreciate the way that useless people are talking about the working women. SomeoneI know is one of the hard WORKING women in that office. Secondly, you should know there is a law called the HIPPA law that does not allow them to give out medical information without a release signed by the patient. Therefore, if the patient does not sign the release for anyone else to get information it is not the secretaries fault. Next, it is said that we are not to judge. Just try putting yourself in their shoes for once. And apparently you people must have alot of time on your hands if this is all you people have to do is put down the working people. Working really does not hurt you.

I for one, have never had a problem with their staff. They are very friendly and nice to my son and I. The only problem there I ever had was Dr.Kahn, but took care of that when I switched my son to Vickie. Yes the first copy is free, but after that you do have to pay for your records, no matter what it is for. Also asking for a refund, I highly doubt they told you that. if they did then they would only owe you for the first copy, nothing else. Someone who cares, I so agree with you. Also anyone who goes to Pathways, should not be able to get a check, because there is no reason people can not get a job. Regardless of your mental health, that is why they prescribe medicine. I understand on some cases people are not being able to work, but if you can sit here and type, then you can get a job typing in some office.

I too would like to stand up for these working women. Everyone is allowed a bad day and everyone has them now and again. These women are hard workers who manage to keep that entire office running. Instead of bashing people online how about we offer assistance or support. How about we give the same respect and consideration which we believe we are intitled to. If everyone did that then we wouldnt have people on here trying to ruine others reputations...

you dont pay their salary, taxpayers do, and you should not need pathways, you should be in a mental
facility who can better help you with your problems. pathways big joke, its a place to go so you can keep your ssi checks. This is only my opinion.

Well hello hater see your still judging everyone. Guess they didn't help you get your SSI huh? Pathways offer a vital services to the community that you should check into. First being anger managment. Really what is your problem with EVERYONE? I hope you have no children for their sake. Do you blow this much hate everywhere you go? Do you have any friends? You really need to find something to do with your time other then playing God.

Funny how most of the posts at the beginning of this thread are all from Van Lear but with different names. They all have the same paragraph structures as well. It almost looks like it's the same person but using different names to make it look as if people are agreeing with the original poster. Hmmm....

OH I know the type of receptionists u guys r talkin about. Give someone a little bit of power and they go off on the biggest powertrip there is. These women r probably lonely, tired, bored and sexually frustrated. One nite of a good dikkin might put a smile on their old ugly mugs for once. Seriously someone should print this forum out and send it to the powers that be. Its ridiculous for people to act so unprofessional.

I have to say I was recently in Pathways for what was a potential business deal until I had to use restroom and found it to be very filthy! Im not sure who is in charge of the cleanliness of this medical facility but they need to be let go! I would be more concerned of the health issues of filth than I would alcohol affect on the body
