Does anyone know anything about this company.. Does the dish pick up good channels and picture, is the internet service good, and does the phone service work when it rains. OR does any of it work when it rains or snows...

I use windstream phone service and the internet and never have any trouble. I been with them for years and never lost service with them. As for the dish, not to sure on it, getting ready to find out that myself, heard it was great and a lot cheaper than cable and they only lost signal for a few minutes when it stormed really bad.

Windstream is alright. Our infrastructure in Boyd County was built by our former providers, Alltel and Verizon. $25 for 3MB with no caps is a great deal. Latency is low and outages are uncommon.

I'm paying $142 for cable, internet and phone no HBO, showtime just reg. channels...I've been offered a deal with Windstream for $75 for the same, but I'd heard that it goes out everytime it rains...But I'd really like to save the money....

I use Windstream for phone and internet, no complaints. However I have heard bad things about the dish service from multiple people. And not just that the reception is bad, but the price they advertise for the bundle is false. When I moved a couple years back I decided to drop Time Warner, my classic basic rate was over $60. I decided to give satellite a try and initially ordered the bundle from Windstream (advertsied between $80-90 at the time). I ended up cancelling due to them overbooking, they called the morning someone was supposed to be here to install, said they overbooked and it would be another two weeks. Ended up being a blessing though, especially after hearing all the negatives about it. I went with Directv, very satisfied and still have it to this day. When it comes to dish, thats who I would suggest.

well do what you want but we just changed to cabel from dish for the second time..if it clouds up..dish goes off..if it is sunny here ...dish goes off..it is expensive and you have to sign two year contract..we didnt have dish continuously for a month and they blamed us..we had to pay 40 bucks to get out of a contract ..even though the dish wouldnt work..we had a good package for windstream internet, phone and dish for around 190 a month..we have cable phone internet and cable nice package for 135 per month..your choice..I will never sign a contract for tv again..

I am changing to windstream. I have the internet and phone, and the Sat is supposed to be om the way. I pay over $160 a month for service with Time Warner right now, and I don't care if the Sat goes down sometimes, for less than half the price I am paying now, it is a better fit for my budget!

I've had windstream for over 4 years because it is the only internet provider in my area. Although they advertise that I can get 3 mbps at my house, when I tried to set it up I was informed that 1.5 mbps is the only option to maintain a signal. So with 1.5 mbps the fastest I've ever seen is 512K and every time it rains I lose connection completely. I am very dissatisfied with the service from windstream and would not recommend it to anyone if there is any other option of internet service. On a side note, we had to drop the satalite bundle package as well because the pricing was changing constantly. It is much cheaper to get directTV seperately and deal with their customer service.

I have Windstream phone which is a regular phone line, internet and Dish. Phone and internet work great 99% of the time.

All of it works well but Dish does get interrupted some times when it rains hard. It usually don't take long for it to work again. To me it is worth it. Cable is too high.

Plus Windstream gives you a discount for bundling them together so you save a little bit more.
