You're stupid, plain and simple. Lowes isn't foolish enough to fire someone with no cause just to save money instead of laying them off. Were that the case they would have left themselves wide open for a wrongful termination lawsuit. The fact of the matter is that your boyfriend did something, or a series of things, worthy of termination and he's not telling you.
I don't know which is worse, the fact that he's lying about why he got fired or that you're foolish enough to believe that a large corporation would act in such an irresponsible way and risk a lawsuit just to save a few bucks.
You should just give up. I did. People believe what they want to believe. lol

The only "shit" I'm "wanting to start" is the shit between your ears that you call a brain. Use it from time to time, companies don't fire people for no reason. Your boyfriend was fired for a reason, but he's not got the balls to tell you so he's made up some lie. It doesn't take a masters in psychology to understand that type of behavioral concept.

Maybe you should call Lowes and pretend you're his attorney and mention that you're filing a wrongful termination lawsuit, I guarantee you they'll tell you exactly why he was fired and it won't be for just "no reason".

You are both full of it. I shop there at least once a week, and spend several thousand dollars there a month. As for the ones at Russell that lost their jobs, I know who they are, and they deserved it. It they wasn't so lazy they would have a job. Lowes is the best and cheapest home improvement store around and will not lose my business.
Lowes, country wide, restructured management. Lots of hard working managers lost their jobs for no other reason than to put more profits in the pockets of higher ups. Know the inside story before running your mouth.

And KY, is an 'at will' state.... meaning an employer can fire an employee for no reason at all, threatening wrongful termination wouldn't do anything.
A lot of managers were let go and the plan is to let even more go within the year. Along with a couple of the big wigs who started the company are retiring. Lowes will start struggling soon because now employees know they have no security, even if you work 70+ hrs for them.

yes its true Lowe's restructured their management which resulted in the loss of around 1200 jobs....however it wasn't to put more money in the pockets of the higher ups. In fact they did it to create more hours for more more cashier and customer service jobs. Read the story on MSN Money.

I'm sorry, but you have your head in the sand or somewhere else. Companies Can and DO fire good workers. The trend in retail now is to get rid of as many full time workers as possible and replace them with part time workers to whom they do not have to guarantee hours nor benefits. Also, if you can get 1 full time worker to do the work of 5, all the better. and THAT my friend is in the companies best interest. Live it, see it every day, know it. Period

I'm not sure that I really believe this story, and can't believe you do, either. Usually when people get fired, there is a reason behind it. Companies don't benefit from firing the workers that actually do their job, whether they're up for vacation or not. It's more costly to train a new employee than it is to pay vacation time to an experienced employee.

Jeff Kemper worked at Lowes in Russell, he should have been fired a long time before he was...He stoled from Lowes all the time and sold the products to his friends a lot of it to Cooks Farm Market and his brother Tony Kemper...He stoled a lot of lumber and alot of other things from there...I don't know why they kept an employee like that for so long when it was obvious what he was doing...then lay off and fire innocent people..Just don't get it...He was reported to corporate but nothing done cannot understand why?

You mean Slowe's?

I've been to other Lowe's that were OK but the Russell Lowes relly sucks. Nobody there knows a damn thing and I beleive it has to be managements fault. No training, no pay and no hours to keep from paying benefits doesn't produce a happy or loyal workforce. It's pretty much the Wal Mart of home improvement, you dread going in and at the end of your shopping experience you still have to wait a half an hour at those two registers they keep open. You got no where else to go, and they know it, so why invest in the workforce or do anything to improve it?

The lowes in Russell is horrible. If an employee sees you walking their direction to ask a question... They will turn around and run in the opposite direction. They are also very rude!

You should go back to see if it's:
1. Still right where you left it
2. Has corner chipped off and on clearance rack

Hahaha. No really, they are terrible.

You have to all over the place to find somebody to help. Then they tell you aisle 3 or aisle 5, which you go and look and no, wrong again. Go walk forever to find somebody else. Then they go look and then go in the back. I felt like I should have won a gold medal by the time I got out of ther.
