Arby's at Cannonsburg

I served in Pleiku Vietnam with the 1st Signal Brigade Long Lines Battalion North from Dec 1966 til Nov 1967. My brother was killed in Kontum Vietnam in May 1969 while serving with the 4th Inf Div US Army. I'm a member of a committee to bring the Vietnam Wall to Grayson KY Aug 29 thru Sep 3. This wall replica is 80 per cent as big as the one in Wash. DC. It is part of the American Veterans Traveling Tribute. There is also a 911 tribute, a Fort Hood and first responders tribute along with the wall. I stopped at Arby's on US 60 at Cannonsburg last week on my way to Ashland and asked if I could leave a poster on the counter about the wall. I was told by the young lady (I guess she was the manager) that I could not leave the poater there because it was too controversial a subject. We veterans weren't welcomed home with open arms when we returned from Vietnam in the 60's and early 70's but I thought things had changed by now. In my opinion, some people, including the young lady at Arby's are too worried about being pc (politically correct) and not concerned enough about being PC (patriotic citizen). The 3.2 million Americans who served in Vietnam including the 58,000 or so who gave the ultimate sacrifice fought and died to give people the right to do what this Arby's employee did but I won't be patronizing this Arby's again.
I won't try to tell anyone what to do or where to go, but you veterans, especially Vietnam veterans can draw your own conclusion as to how this business feels about us.
I do want to say that the Arby's in Grayson had one of the posters on their counter. I suppose another member of our committee had put it there and the management there didn't have any problem with it.
