Ann Craig (1931-2007)
Ann Cornwell Craig of Meadow Avenue in Raceland passed away at her home Saturday evening, Dec. 22, 2007, and now finds rest at our savior’s side. Mrs. Craig was 76 years of age, born in Huntington on June 19, 1931, a daughter of the late Zeno and Glada Via Cornwell. She was a child support case worker in Boyd County and a faithful member of the Catlettsburg Freewill Baptist Church. Ann enjoyed writing poetry, was an avid reader and loved big band music. Her exceptional personality and warm smile have been a blessing to countless people and will be a treasured memory from now on! Sadly left behind is her adoring husband of 55 years, Jack Craig. Their home has been blessed with three children, two sons, Danny Craig of Ashland and Greg Craig of Raceland; one daughter, Melissa Flaugher, her husband Jay, of Raceland. Also surviving are two brothers, Donald Cornwell of Flatwoods and Robert (Vivian) Cornwell of Columbus; two sisters, Elizabeth (Paul) Anderson of Flatwoods and Wanda Chandler of Dayton; nine precious grand children, Desiree Craig, Sara Craig, Dani Craig, Joshua Craig, Rachel Castle, Evan Flaugher, Luke Flaugher, Laci Flaugher and Seth Craig; one blessed great-grand child, Kierstin Castle. Passing on before are two sisters, Dorothy Cornwell and Mary Frazier. In reverent memorial, a funeral service will be conducted to honor this great wife, mother and friend Thursday, Dec. 27, 2007, 11 a.m. at the Neal Funeral Home on Center Street in Catlettsburg with Roger Branham delivering a message of consolation and faith. Final rest is at the Bellefonte Memorial Garden. Those wishing to call upon the Craig family may do so today between the hours of 6 and 9 p.m. at the funeral home. |

I know its probably not what you were looking for , I thought maybe you could contact a family member if you had the obit. |

Many of us who knew and loved Ann Craig first heard a rumor that she had committed suicide. Later we heard from a family member that it was suspected that she had been beaten. We have been watching the newspapers for something, anything. Nothing has appeared.

I think they are waiting for the autopsy. I hope that didn't happen, but I can't see her killing herself. Jack is my cousin and we all loved her. She was a good christian woman, wife and mother. We are all devestated by this. I don't know anymore than you do at this point. |

I doubt anything will be in there until the autopsy comes back with a cause of death. Do you know what police department is investigating her death? |
www.dailyindependent.com I hope this isnt true. I live close to her street. |

If you people love Ann Craig so much then you need to ask the Raceland Police Chief "WHY HE LET HER KILLER GO FREE???"" Also ask why they are not even caring whether they get the DNA to prove he killed her so that "Ann's murderer will never kill again"!. It's been since December. Are all your murderers walking the streets to kill again until the police decide to hurry the "crime lab reports along"? The family live in fear constantly and your Raceland Police told them to get a restraining order against him. Sure, that will save them. When they call saying he's at their door, I bet they will be too busy filing their nails. I'd be worried if you live near them. He's walking the streets. Last we heard he was in Greenup, Ky. |
What is his name? I live just around the corner and it scares me, I didnt know that he was out. |

I can't say his name on here. The Police chief didn't do his job and the judge had to let him go. It's been 7 months and nothing. All you get from the police is " we haven't got the DNA reports back. They're all backed up". Come on, does anyone really believe their bull? They're people on death row who they got the "tests" back real quick to prove they killed. If he gets by with it you can thank your Police department. If you live around the corner then think about who you haven't seen in 7 months on that street. |
