I'm sure that there are no infections at a hospital. None.

But if you only have 12 patients, that helps.

Only 12 patients? Do you know for a fact where their census stands? I think not.

I know for a fact that the infection rate at OLBH, per capita, is lower, in fact, much lower than KDMC. And we're smart enough to know that people with sprained ankles don't necessarily need heart caths. Wait til the RAC auditors get done with KD before you start crowing. Don't know what a RAC auditor is? Google it. They work on commission.

If you are referring to noscomial infections, they actually happen more than you would think at hospitals. Unfortunate, but true. It happens.

Well, as of this week, KDMC finally knows what a RAC auditor is. I told you in March.

Isn't this ironic. KDMC makes news for layoffs & the next thing is a topix thread about OLBH. Sorry, no one is buying this story. Get back to the big news about KDMC. OLBH is OK. LOL

All hospitals, schools, clinics, and nursing homes have a problem with staph. Infections like MRSA, VRE, and C-diff can kill you. Take my advice:
Wash your hands.
Wear gloves and masks.
Protect your ears and eyes.
Do Not touch Iv Lines.
Do Not drag air tubes on the floor.
Do Not let kids go barefoot in hosp.
Do Not let babies crawl on hosp. floors.
Do Not allow pillows, etc. to touch floors.
Mop floors with bleach, etc.
Clean all surfaces with sanitizers.
Wash sheets with lots of bleach.
Do not over fill washers with sheets.
Use Hot Water.
