exactly! not the UFC its a regional promotion. Wiler was one of two 15 year olds who fought a kickboxing exhibition and yes he is good. The Hicks kid he fought had about a week of kickboxing and stepped in the cage with him...big props for doing that! The man Yates fought I beleive was from Illinois and looked to be in his 30's. The main event between Eric Jarvis and Anthony Nache was a classic...could have been an undercard fight for the UFC easy! Don't knock it ...Support it!

Undercard fight for the UFC. LMFAO !!! have you been to another live fight besides this one? Any promotor that puts someone in there with only a week of training , regardless if it is just kickboxing, needs their license revoked. That is pathetic. And it's how you get people hurt. And to call them a " regional " promotion is a huge stretch. They've had one event in a tiny community center. There are much better, true " regional " promotions in this area.

It was bad. Not enough fights. Confusion. Bad announcer. Bad set up. It was there first show but the tickets should have been half the price for the amount of fights they had.

Give them a break the fighters came to give everybody a show. Yes it did go fast but they didn't know it was going to be like that. I'm sure they will have more fights next time. You learn as you go. Those guy's trained hard to come fight for everybody. I give them alot of props. Especially team evolution. They were all great. No reason at all to disrespect them.

It was an exhibition ...duh! Read the post! I've been to dozens of live events...Have you? I've seem a lot worse events including the big boys of the UFC. How about you show some support for the locals instead of bashing or better yet climb in the cage and show what you can do!

I was at the fall brawl and it seems to me that the tournment was a great success. I think that
they supported everyone even the Boyd County Cheerleaders. Its a shame that peple like LOL has
to be so jealous. Looks like to me LOL the joke is on you first the community center holds over 1000 people and it was a packed house. At least where i
was setting it was. They gave away free stuff all night. The fighters trained hard for the show if you arent so SCARED then get in the cage with them im sure any one of them would like to challenge you even the young boys would take you on. They had
two well know guest there who im sure would like to see you in a cage or ring. And for you making a comment about the promtion team lets see have you got a promoters lic and ever put on a show? What other regional promotions are there around here that does MMA and Boxing. Why dont you support something good in the area instead of runing your mouth but what do you expect from someone that post as LOL seems like you are the JOKE that is being laughed at.Put your money where your mouth is and get promoters lic and put on a show. Dont be a hater just because your are SCARED and Jealous we will let you train with are little boys.

As a matter of fact I've been to hundreds of live events. All over Ky Oh, Tenn , W. Va , Fla to name a few. I've been in this sport longer than you have even known what it is. Make sure you know what you're talking about before you question someone's experience. I'm a licensed judge, ref, cornerman and trainer. So yes , I think I'm pretty qualified to talk about both MMA and boxing. " duh ". And exhibition or not, sending ANYONE into a combat sport with only a weeks training is pathetic.

Again you are making assumptions that you shouldn't make. 1,000 people is not a big event by any stretch. Do you have any idea how many people in this area have been fighting in MMA since early 2000? Did you know there were MMA promotions in Ashland starting in around 2005? Did you even know what MMA was until TUF came on spike tv? There were very successful pro and ammy fighters from right here in the tri state way before you even knew what the sport was. I guarantee I was deeply involved in this sport back when you were just looking for the old UFC videos. You have no clue what you are talking about. But go ahead and assume all you want TUF'er. The ones of us that have been around for years love to see you fan boys run your mouth and show your " knowledge " of MMA. As far as boxing they do a fine job, as far as MMA they are a loosely put together local show.

I drove a couple hundred miles to see this event. And it reminded me of something they would put on at a county fair. And another thing, not once did I say anything disrespectful about the fighters. But you TUF newbies think you know everything about this sport. I guarantee I've either promoted, judged, reffed, fought in or had fighters fighting in more events than you have ever seen live. There have been gyms that have had fighters compete in this area for YEARS.( pro and ammy ) for years. Ground Zero , Aaron Stevens has been training fighters years before opening SVT, Casey Oxendine, EKCC ( East Ky Combat Club ), John Rankin, Four Seasons ( Mike O'Donnell - first BJJ black belt in Ky ), Josh Johnson ( BJJ and Judo blackbelt ) just to name a few. These guys have been in the sport for years. But I'm sure you have heard of them, right?

To be honest I didn't really pay much attention to most of the names. No one really sparked my interest. If it was Wayne Malone then I didn't notice or recognize him. I've seen him fight before. Wasn't very impressive. The only fight that was anything close to having any talent was Jarvis and the guy from Iowa. And neither were good fighters. But at least it was more evenly matched and they both have had some training and experience. I've watched Jarvis fight for several different promotions. He tends to think he's better than what he is and bites off more than he can chew. He's lost what now? 5 in a row? He should've stayed at SVT. Fat Steve does a great job but Jarvis doesn't get enough one on one time with him. Oh wait. I forgot. I'm not supposed to know what I'm talking about. Sorry, I forgot. Lol

Still no reason to talk shit about people trying. Was randy couture a pro when he first started. I think not. Everybody starts at the beginning. Think about it (lol)
