And their glasses are sloppily made and they do not stand behind them. There are far better choices.

I worked for a eye Dr. for 19 years, I went to Vision Works in the Ashland Mall in July and got a pair of no line bifocals with transition tint and a beautiful frame and also got a pair of sunglasses with no line bifocal, polorized lens with a cute frame, and I have had no problems, they were extremely professional and very kind, and the price was unbelievable, I got 2 pair for what it would have cost for one pair, where I formally worked, and I ordered the same lens that I was use to wearing, which is the top of the line varilux, sorry you had a problem.

I bought my son 2 pairs of glasses and they got fracture lines from stress. Went back, they fixed 2 new pair and they have done the same thing. He looks stupid in them because of the lines all around them. Had to go buy him some at another place, money was wasted there at Visionworks.

I totally agree. I spent $500 on my glasses and they have fracture lines.
I've had glasses for over 20 yrs I know how to care for them. They give no guarantee and will not help you once the glasses are paid for. Very disappointed! Even Walmart is better. Save your $ don't be taken like I was!

1. Some prescriptions are harder to put In sunglasses than others. 2. Every factory eventually does accidentally send bad batches out it could even happen to lens crafters or eye Mart. 3. I've never received bad service from there. 4. They have went over all lens options an add on options so I know there are no "hidden" fees

I'm on my third pair of sunglass lenses from Vision Works. They have what looks like delamination llines or horizontal fractures in them. the frames are titanium flex frames. Love em but the lenses are garbage. I went back the third time to get someone to explain why they were like this but they just took them and said they would make another pair. NO Answer and guess what, happened again. I think I have been loyal enough. Think I'll give someone else a chance.

My husband and I both bought glasses at this location for less than $100. Our glasses are great and we received excellent service.

keep in mind that the employees there aren't even licensed opticians. So they know very little about how the glasses are supposed to fit properly. I bought a pair at the Huntington store a couple of years ago. The frames were too wide for my face and they didn't know how to measure properly to get the curvature of the lenses correct so that I could see properly.

I hope you haven't said your son looks stupid or any other negative remark in his presence or within his earshot. Be a good role model and a parent that builds their children up, not tears them down. It's hard being a kid in today's world. A parent should not be another bully.. Shame on you!

I would Not recommend vision works in Ashland. We have insurance that in the past has paid for the entire eye exam, vision works separates the cost for contacts calling it a fitting. I had to pay over 30.00 extra for the exam. There was very slow service as well although the people were nice. Be sure to ask how much each aspect of the exam is or the will rip you off.

I have been going to Vision World in Winona, MN for 15 years and now they are known as Vision Works. I can't believe the horrible customer service that I just experienced there. My sons glasses were broken at the frame and I asked them if they could repair it. The man working there looked at me with a cocky smile and said "nope can't be fixed" I told him that my son only wears his glasses and he is out of contacts and in order to get more contacts he needed a new appt. and couldn't get in until Thursday!(evidently you need an exam every year for an appt.) and my sons expired a month ago! He told me, "sorry you should've had extra contacts".
I am so appalled by this mans attitude I cannot believe he has a job there. I will be sure to tell everyone that I know NOT TO GO TO VISION WORKS in WINONA!!

We use Cannonsburg Wal-Mart. All but one of their employees are certified opticians and their service is very professional. They have gotten our glasses wrong before (but they are human just the same as everyone else and it's only normal for a pair, everyone now and then, to come back incorrectly) but they have always taken them back and fixed them, no questions asked. It is my understanding that VisionWorks' employees are not even certified opticians.

So I'm going to comment on some of your comments about Visionwork in Ashland .. First of all just because you people have insurance doesn't mean it pays for everything half the people that walk though the door don't even know what there insurances pays ... We call insurance company's and they tell us what yr benefits are we can pull it up on our insurance computer .. Eye exam is different from a contact lens fit .. Most insurances will not cover it but will discount it .. Another WE are a Doctor office that sells glasses as well ..we also have a Optometrist on site .. Being certified isn't much different it's a piece of paper .. Lots of us have been there since the store I has been opened ...we will do everything we can to give great customer service .. But there are times we can't make everyone happy .. People want something for nothing these days .. We always have good sales prices are way better than what you would pay for at a private Doctor office .. We don't make up the Promoations that's what corptate does we just work there and try to make everyone happy and educate our patients about there glasses and what they are purchasing ...

bought 2 pair of glasses at visionworks one being
sun glasses for 494.00. I bought two pair of
glasses from on zinni optical one line for 30.00
the other for 20.00. As a test I lined
the three pair and asked my wife's hair dresser to
pick the cheapest and most expensive. First try
wrong, second try wrong visionworks came in last
both try's.

Vision works in the Ashland mall was awful!!! Hidden charges, sales person was not upfront about costs, when I canceled my order, they said they would price match the cheaper competitor- then still tried to charge me more!!! I will not be returning and would not recommend to anyone!
