I used to love LMís, but yesterday my Yorkie was scalped! I was told by Carrie, the co-owner, that I had a responsibility to keep my dogís hair in good condition or I didnít get to keep it. He was in great condition, minus a few tangles near his bottom where he sat on his hair. He was in full show coat, now he has razor burn and bare skin patches. LMís has gone downhill since they have grown and brought on more employees.$60 for a butchered dog.:(

I took my two schnauzer boys there and it was horrid. Neither of them were in poor condition either. When I saw them I wanted to cry - their beards were destroyed, furnishings gone - and worst of all they both had horrible skin infections because of dirty clippers and being shaved in the wrong direction. It took almost a year of endless trips to the vet to take care of the infections - a total cost of over $1,000!!! I wouldn't take anything near that place! I now groom my boys at home myself and never have had a single problem with infections or anything else. I guess it's because I care!

Ok if they cut the dogs hair off it's because you should not have been lazy and let them go like that there is no since of putting them in pain just so they look cute. And as far as the skin infection I don't believe one thing you said. I have been taking my baby girl Molly there for over a year and I love them I drive all the way from Louisa to take her there. All the girls there are so great they love all the dogs they are good to them they take care of them and they have always I mean always done a great job with all the dogs I have seen. My dog is no show dog she is my child so I would not take her to anyone who would miss treat her or hurt her. I had tryed lots of other groomers but and they always hurt and messed her up she would always be scared to death when I would get her home for days. With with Lucy maes she's always her happy little self. So I would tell anyone to go there your babies will be in great hands :)

Just so you all know. They are very very very mean to the animals. I know first hand. Carrie doesn't care about those animals or yours. Her mother on the other hand is the nice one. She talks to the dogs. Carrie just grabs them, slings them around, throws them outside. Whatever it takes to shut them up. And Ashley girl that works there is another Carrie. Please watch your animals. I know!

Lol they don't never put the dogs outside that's why they moved to a bigger place. And how do you know they are mean to think? Do you stand and watch? Have they done this with you there? Um no I don't think any worker would be that stupid, I really don't know why people wants to get on here and lie about a place

The dogs do go outside for a few minutes as soon as they get dropped off, to potty. It is a cage free facility unless the doggies are prone to "marking" and then they are kenneled. It is a great groom shop, all dogs are treated with respect and the very best is done to ensure quality work, a low stress environment, and cleanliness:)

If you take your dog anywhere where there are other dogs you should have them given a bordetella vaccination. Common sense really. Lucy Mae's is a great groomer. I've been taking my baby there for several years and they do a great job with her. But we take her about every two or three months. You can't wait until they are matted and unkept before you take them.

Again, they are a well known business with a great reputation. I would say this is a result of and individual losing her job with them becuase they were tired of her nonsense life. She always has to start something and this was the only way to do it without getting caught as easily! People need to grow up and realize that they adults and held accountable for thier actions. If not, it doesnt only cost you a marriage, a beating, but it also costs you your job. Lucy Mae's was never degraded until this incident. People know them quite well and they are a very good business.

I have had my dog groomed twice. The first time was at Bark Ave. I should have done more research on that woman. She completely shaved my Yorkie, you couldnt even tell he was a Yorkie anymore. Several cuts on him. So I was very hesitant to take him anywhere else. And I didnt for over two years. I took him to Lucy Maes two weeks ago and I was so impressed with how sweet and kind and loving they were to my baby. I told them exactly what I wanted done and he came out perfect. The cut was exactly how I had told her, no knicks cuts scrapes nothing either. I love how they are so open and let the animals run free and arent caged up unless they need to be for obvious reasons, their grooming tables are right in sight and u can see everything going on. That is very comforting. I will be taking my pup there from now on.

Lucy Mae's recently moved from Westwood to Diederich Blvd in Russell, KY. Phone is 325-PETS.

I have taken my fur baby to Lucy Mae's for about 2 1/2 years. Abby is like my child.
Linda and Carrie do an amazing job. They are patient and kind to the animals. The grooming tables are right there in the open - nothing to hide. Abby is older and overweight and a long grooming session is hard on her. They even give her a break and let her play with the other dogs and rest so the session is not such a long time for her to stand. I totally trust them with my baby Abby. I would not take her anywhere else. They are both dog owners and treat your pet as if it was their own. They are good people and excellent, hard working groomers - in my opinion, the best around.

I am posting under my real name as I am not ashamed to say Linda, Carrie and their staff deserve credit for the excellent work they do and the love and care they give to the animals they groom.
