They offered me $25.00 for a real nice gold coin, and Steve gave me $150.00 !
And the owner, the dude with the black hair is the one that appraised it .
I'm sure it was really worth about $250.00-$300.00,but when you get in a pinch and something that's laying in a box is doing nothing, you sell it.
My last ever visit to Tristate.

The Tri-State Pawn is a good place to hock hot merchandise. They will take about anything from anyone, including well known repeat offender crooks and drug addicts and drug dealers.

why is it when you have a tv stolen from a pillhead that broke into your house, they buy it off the pillhead, then when the police catch the pillhead and tell you where your tv is, the pawn shop tells you if you want it, you have to buy it back from them?

I bought a bracelet at a Pawn Shop a year ago, I paid 300 for it. A few weeks ago I needed to help out a friend and didnt have the cash on hand. I let her pawn my bracelet until she got her taxes back, I took it to Tri-State, not where I bought it. The girl there offered me 300 for it, exactly what I paid 1 year ago. I think they were very fair, of course it is obvious I am not a pill head or a thief. I drive a nice car, and wear nice clothing, maybe they are taking advantage of the drug users, but so be it. Should they give them more money so they can get more drugs ? Get real here people we all know Pawn Shops can be good and bad, but they were very fair to me.

They need to be sued for false advertising.

They put up billboards saying that they PAWN ANYTHING but that's a fabricated lie. They rarely will accept anything... unless it's something that they can make a huge mark-up on. But then again, I've taken expensive items before and they said they aren't buying etc. It's a joke. All they want is your video games, tools, guns & gold. All the rest is just fluff to them and will only buy it or pawn it if your willing to strip down and give them everything you have on you.

If you are going to go around advertising we buy anything, they better do just that!!!!! LIARS!

I happen to shop there all the time. They have great prices on tools and everything else. Bought many seaming irons electric tackers, rings, movies and have been very very pleased. This is a pawn shop they loan you money using your items as security. It has to be worth their while to loan against them in case you don't pick up your merchandise. Do you really expect them to give you 100 on something that retails for 150. The paper work, the lights, the insurance, the payroll, the building up keep, the water, the gas. So now they have 250 in the item that is worth only 150..... sound like good business to you. Its about turning a quick profit...Like it or not thats why they open the doors everyday just like everyone else....don't take your items to a pawnshop and pawn them if you don't like the deal they are giving you. If thats how you operate sell me a bmw for 5 bucks and cuss about it later that i took advantage of you. Don't accept the offer if you don't like it.......COMMON Sense

I know JC,I find him to be a sincere kind young man.He ask me one time what I thought,(just out of the blue) what I thought of him raising some money for under privileged kid's.He said he was going to furnish everything,I said that was a good idea,so for all of you people that don't know JC,I just wanted you to know what kind of an asshole he really is!!Remember,he is in business to make money! And this is just one story of many about this scumbag, that you all seem to be jealous of! If you don't really know someone then you shouldn't speak bad of them!

Government/state should come in and offer a stimulas to these shops for a different type of shop that would elimate the "steal for pawn". They currently have to take an id to pawn and these thiefts either don't care or ask someone else to do it. If you want rid of the pawn shops we would have to offer these business owners an alternative income. What do you think that would be? I think so much hate for pawn shops are coming from the feeling that most of it is stolen probably is but at the same time a valid ID was shown.. Its a business venture and all businesses are to make money - thats just simple knowledge.

I had a 1 ct solitare that appraised for $5000 at the least and up to $8000. I was going to sale it not pawn, the offered $75.00 that's seventyfive. I had the certificate with the ring purchase price and all of that good stuff. I thought she was joking at first but she was serious. On another note, most of the workers are rude. They help who they want to. Needless to say, I don't go there anymore.

Did I just read in the newspaper the other day that Tri State Pawn & Jewelry was burglarized? It seems quite ironic that a business that buys stolen goods from pillheads that burglarize homes around here, profits from it, then gets burglarized themselves. Just doesn't seem fair. Is there no honor among theives?

I know someone who had a family member steal off of them...they come into tristate and asked about it...knowing it was family they didn't want to file charges against their own son...If I am not mistaken tristate helped them find as much of the jewlery as they could find..and the large lump sum of jewelry was sold back to them for what the person got out of it.... they told him that they couldn't prove that this person had stolen the items but they knew something was up...they couldn't refuse it because it would be stereotyping but they tried to take it in for the lowest amount possible hoping that it would have time to go through some internet source the cops have...where he had pics of the rings they set there for hours and helped look for those items. I don't know another shop that would do something like that....in my book they are a pretty reputable place.

You all don't know anything about pawn shops... You think they will give you retail price for your sh*t? Lol.. that's hilarious maybe if you all got REAL jobs you wouldn't be pawning sh*t. They give you money for a pawn then they're money sits on a shelf then after you don't come back for it the money sits until someone wants to buy it. And J.C wasn't so poor imagine if you had 5 kids think you be really rich? And also I KNOW J.C has paid Lisa's father back so no need in being jealous.. well be jealous.. he's building the playboy mansion pool cave in his back yard.. J.C is my family.. he's awesome and stay jealous you poor f*cks bring him your stuff and pawn it so my family can be even more rich J.C is a millionaire.. that's right millionaire... It takes 1 million dollars to even be a pawn shop owner because you make loans. If the place is so bad why is it still open? Lmao because he has the best pawn shop in the tri-state he pawns jewelry cars electronics ect ect. Maybe when your a millionaire then open your own shop... If not Stfu!!!!!! K thanks ;)

you're stupid!!!!!!! Police confiscate stolen items and if you didn't notify the police your even more stupid than the pill head. I work at jewelry gold and pawn and this story is bogus. Pawn shops lose money on stolen items that are found by the police

He's a millionaire off of junkies stealing hard working peoples items that they worked and paid for, again if we bought stolen goods we would be in jail.
