Dr. Pinkston at Ashland Animal Clinic. He is extremely skilled at this and the care they provide animals is impecable! I strongly suggest him because having someone do it that isnt good at it or doesnt know what they are doing can not only butcher your animal but also cause them extreme pain and infection.

You're evil, vile people. First of all, who in their right mind would actually come on topics to seek the opinions of others when it comes to life of their pets. Second of all...if you want to have cosmetic surgery, that's all fine and dandy. That's your choice. Your dog is perfect the way that it is, and since he doesn't have the capability to tell you that he is okay with the way he looks and wouldn't enjoy going under the knife, you should leave his ears the way they're intended to be.

I agree. Its not something I would do or advocate but people are going to do this regardless. And as an animal lover and advocate Id rather steer someone to a place where I know the dog is going to be taken care of in the safest way possible. As opposed to the dog being "tortured" by someone with less skill and integrity.

I hope you feel better after lopping part of your dogs ears off just so he'll look like something other than what he is. And, you actually made it my business by posting it in a public forum. If you alter any part of your pet for cosmetic reasons, that is CRUEL. They don't have a say so in the matter and I think it's wrong. If their ears were meant to be cropped, they would be born that way. If cats were meant to not have claws, they would be born that way.

I bet you are a devote Christian that weighs over 300 lbs and you sit on your lard asssss an bark judgments at ppl. You are disgusting.
And it's hilarious that as soon as you picked a new name to hide behind, you starting being the asshole that you truly are. And what does my religion have to do with anything? That's, as you put it, none of your business. But just to humor you, I grew up in a Nazarene church, but I haven't stepped foot through the doors of any church for any reason other than someone getting married in probably 9 years. I'm hardly a devote Christian. I just know right from wrong. Like I said before, if you want to alter the way you look, that's your decision, but what gives you the right to make that decision for a dog? Because you paid $2500 for him? If that's the case, then you don't deserve him.

Awww lol isn't that precious? You bitch at me for calling names...and you call me an F'n idiot and then make jokes about my weight and who I'm going to vote for. You're insecure in your decision to chop your dogs ears off. You know it's wrong, but yet you're still going to do it anyway. If your dog was born with ears that look like beagles, then that's what he was supposed to have. Ears that look like beagles. Again, not that it's any of your business, but I have 2 female dogs. Neither of them are fixed. And neither of them will ever have puppies. Continue to blame shift, and make fun of me and call me names all you want because it doesn't hurt my feelings. And hey, if it makes you feel like less of an asshole for cutting your dogs ears off then whatever.
Enjoy your day sweetums! ;)

Get the dog's ears cropped. Don't breed him. Let Cruel intentions take care of his/her business. Good luck with your dog.

do what you want. it is your dog, but to say that he doesnt look like a doberman without his ears cropped is kind of funny since they are born with those ears. its like saying a woman doesnt look like a woman without earrings.

That's precious. Again, not that it's anyone's business...but I have a daughter, so no, I did not circumcise my baby. If later in life I have a boy I won't circumcise him.

circumscion is not just a cosmetic procedure it is a medical one to prevent medical complications. Way different then changing something for appearance. I'm not saying getting your dogs ears cropped are wrong I'm just saying not even remotely the same thing.

Then Ill say it. Getting your dogs ears cropped is wrong. Show dog or not. If it's a doberman and its ears appear like that, then it is by design. God's or Darwin's, but it's certainly not your place to mess with that. I hope he fares well and does not have to suffer.

Dogs are living things as well. They can feel pain just you can. Your dog didn't ask to be bought by you, you chose him and you're wanting to crop his ears? Maybe you should get yours cropped so you'll know what it is like! No one cares that you spent $2500 on your dog but you apparently.

I'm sure I'm going to feel like crap after seeing my boy like that, but honestly I want him to look like a Doberman and I'm trying to find him the best doctor I can. I hope you feel better after calling Someone evil.
I can understand you wanting them cropped. I have raised the same breed of dog for years. I have actually rescued them all but th first one. Her ears were done and they were beautiful. However, they had to be retaped every 3 days for 4 weeks. Everytime we would go back, they were trying to wrinkle up and the doctor had to pull them straight and she would scream. It broke my heart. They were beautiful once we got through that mess, but I will never do that again for that reason :( Believe it or not, Dr. Adams did hers and this was 12 yrs ago and he cut them beautifully. I just didnt like the complications that came with it. He is NOT my vet, but he can crop ears and he does a great job. I wouldnt use him for anything else though. Many think I am mean because I have rescued 2 that were not babies and had their tails cut off while they were being spayed/neutered. It is tougher when they get older, but I hate tails....lol.....Good luck and I hope your pooch dont have any complications.:)

Dr.Duncan at Martin Veterinary Clinic on Grandview Drive in Ashland. He did my dobie and no problems at all. I highly suggest you give him a call. I trust my dog to no one but him.
