I have been a member for ten years or better. I ask a "trainer" term used loosely. To show me something in the weight room. He turned to me and said "pay for my assistance and I will show you" it is a machine that I have used before, many times. I saw a man using it differently and was curious if I was wrong or not.

It's because the YMCA does not allow trainers to "train" in there unless they are paying the YMCA half their cut. And the Trainers that work for the YMCA don't even workout so I wouldn't hire someone that doesn't even train themself.

But if he can't say "yes or no" when I ask which way is the correct way, then he's setting people up to just get hurt. No one ask him to "train" me. Just ask which way was correct as there were two ways being done

Place has been a complete nightmare since they added that huge wall down the middle. Talking about uncomfortable, people crawling all over you while you exercise. This has got to be fixed before someone gets seriously hurt.

Glad I'm not the only person upset about this...Iv seen petitions signed, direct complaints to "THE CEO" and even full complaint boxes multiple times in the past few months...Not really sure if its made a difference to getting the wall removed but people sure are trying....Working on renting a few billboards around town and a letter to the editor next...

The Y used to be a good place. Now that the new CEO is there it is just a big joke. Lets put a cardio room where the kids hang out. Lets put a wall in the fitness center to take up more room. OH and lets lock the community out unless they have money. NO more guest passes. What is going on??? This is not How the YMCA is supposed to work. What about working for the community. The classes are horrible to. Yoga is the best class over there with Katheryn, Most everyone else is a joke. Zumba use to be good but now all they have are large instructors or old instructors. I am not going to renew my membership at the first of the year.

I respect people who do crossfit but not the exercise I'm looking for. Not trying to get hurt. And 1,200$ a year is stupid.

Don't get hurt if done properly. You'll waste more than that on gym memberships personal trainer. At least Crossfit gives you a personal trainer everyday. It's not stupid. If its not for you that is fine. But by far stupid.

Would be a waste of my time and money! Just not for everyone. I'd rather be big and strong like Arnold then be like those lil crossfit junkies.

In the end you would be better off w a "gym trainer" or a personal trainer. They at least have went to school for four years and learned about fitness and got there degree to specialize in helping people. What do these crossfit trainers know? They've paid a set fee for a certificate that trains them in crossfit only.

Cross fit is a joke. Anyone that pays over 100$ a month to do a set of exercises that is posted to the public every day is half retarded. You can be crossfit certified for under 500$ and do the same exercises at any gym in the area. Maybe if a physical therapist and chiropractor came with the membership I'd consider it.

Not going to fight about crossfit I wasn't hating on your workout just saying try it. I would rather have a strong body and mind without shooting riods. Have a great day!
