Any emts or medics care to tell me which would be better to work for. I know they both do mainly nonemergent transfers and have heard KDMTs base pay is substantially higher than MTS. I am Ohio and Kentucky certified and have no desire to fool with WV certification as well, I know KDMT does not care whether I have it or not but will MTS force the issue? Maintaining three states and national is more of a pain than it's worth for the money. If anyone can give me a comparison of pay, hours, benefits, id appreciate it.

Kdmt is not running legally! Base rate is 850 with insurance 950 without Mts is 900 but they are raising that to 10 that's what I hear anyway! It appears MTS has more runs which means more hours!

KDMT is the bottom of the barrel. Very few EMT's there actually are good, the rest are just there for the paycheck. Try to get on for the county or MTS. Trust me, you don't want to go to KDMT.

Where do you guys get your info...and can you explain how KDMT is running illegally....Base rate with and without insurence is not correct per "what." And as far as "curious" is concerned, how do you know what type of people are employed here...I know more that a few that are great EMT's and great people as well.....
