Does anyone have any good or bad experiences with this gun range off of the highway exit?

Thank you in advance.

Awesome place to take the family. They even have an indoor archery range so you can hang out in the winter time. Everyone should join.

I've been there a few times, as far as feedback I get fro people I've heard mixed results. Overall the feedback was good and the negative points fairly minor. But most of the ones I've talked to are regulars there, if they didnt like the place they wouldn't keep coming back.

It was originally a conservation group but most of its customers today are jsut people who want a place to shoot and are not so much interested in the conservation aspect.

They do have some strange rules as far as personal conduct that you wouldn't find at other ranges. Perhaps thats good for the family oriented aspect of things but its unusual considering the wide and diverse array of people you meet there. Alot of them are fiercly independent individualists who do not invoke images of social conformity upon meeting them.

Overall a good place, a little hard to sign up for the last I heard the only place where you could register for memebership was at Border's gun shop near the Ashland city limit on Rt. 60, several miles from the actual range. Memebership is a little expensive the last I heard $100 year, expensive to some but well worth it others.
Its a big place with several individual ranges, the largest being I think, 400 yrds. So its set up for virtually any of your shooting needs.

An interesting place for a day of shooting.

If you are a member, you should know when and where to pay the dues... At the monthly meeting, first Monday of each month at 6 in the clubhouse.

The past couple of years, the place hasn't been taken care of. Every time I go out to shoot at the bow range, I have to clean up everyone's mess that they feel they don't need to clean up. If I want to fish with my 3 year old son, I have to go out a day or so before hand to cut grass down to the water. Another problem is that they sent it a letter to many members stating they owed $5 extra because their payment was late when in fact it was paid early. The only reason I renew my membership is that's the only place I have to shoot.

Could you please explain what personal conduct rules are strange. I am a member and the only rules I know of are safety related. They require you to show your membership card to anyone who asked for it, I have never been asked. Membership applications are not being accepted now due to the number of members.

The north eastern fishing game club is a bunch of stuck up snobs that's not accepting memberships at this time.
I suggest everybody raises pure cane with fishing game saying there needs to be a public shooting range

I'm a combat Vet and a proud gun owner moving to the Ashland, Ky area. I'm interested in a shooting range where I can go to just to shoot my rifles, shotgun and pistols without that much interruption and sidebar conversations. Does anyone have any suggestions or know of any places?

My dad was a life time member and unless you are law enforcement this is probably the best place
It's reasonably priced & family oriented

I have been member since the mid 1990s. Club has changed over the years but so have I.$50 per year. What I've seen lately is a lot of ccw classes at ranges. I live in Ohio now and did live in WV so it does not matter where you call home. And its like any place where you see people. Some are nice some kind of strange. So try it for a year(if one can get in). www.nekfga.com
