Don't think you can - they have folks on site that watch the specimen leave you and enter the cup... pretty tough to get around that. Good luck.

They take hair from couple places. Took mine from the head and shaved a spot on my leg. Its weird having another dude looking at your sausage while you piss in a cup.

Don't want you working there with me if you do drugs anyway!!!! Too much moving equipment for some druggie to be operating and putting my life on the line. We got children to think about.

You can't beat it, they take hair samples, watch you pee in cup, plus hair sample gets sent to a lab out of the area. I agree, don't want to be working around druggies!!!! My life is too important to be dealing with a dope head.

And you all have nobody to blame but yourselves for letting it happen.. If everybody would have refused since they first starting expecting it, then you wouldn't have to go through it now... But nobody will stick together anymore and AK owns the whole lot of you to boot.. So you all will continue to jump through whatever hoops they tell you to in order to work in that nasty, damn falling down Mill...

I agree with these other guys. If your mentality is how to beat a drug test to get a job here, just try walmart or something else instead. This place isn't a playground for druggies, you'll just end up hurting someone.

Whatever man, I'm glad they drug test here. I prefer going home the same way I came to work. I don't entertain the idea of leaving in a bag because some scum had to smoke a joint or pop some pills before his/her shift.

you are mostly right, but all unions are for drug testing and so are the union members. We, as a whole, don't want our lives and families endangered cause someone is drunk or high. I know there are union members in any union that won't stand as a group but a person who is a drug user already is too weak minded to even be considered a true union member. Anyone caught on the job and failing a drug test deserves to be terminated. The rules an drug policies are in place so that workers can be protected and go home to see their families instead of being hauled out in an ambulace or worse, a body bag.

NCAA stands right in front of college athletes when they are drug tested to make sure they don't contaminate the sample. Contaminate meaning: adding something, using urine from someone that is clean, etc... AND I don't mean a few feet away, NCAA is close enough that they could hold the cup and hold your junk for you.

When such watching is not done, different pee is oft substituted. Most employers who drug test, including the Federal Government, observe...uh...specimen collection. Tis sad but must be done...

I didnt like it but the job is way to good to pass over some guy looking at my junk so I made the best of it and told the guy I had stage fright LOL. Think about it if you played sports you probably showerded with other guys or if you go to the ymca you probably showered with some dude and after you work there you are showering with dudes and no I dont look but you are going to see it if you want to or not.

You don't have to show your junk when drug testing at AK if you are not a probationary employee. You have the option to remove your clothes and put on an AK furnished gown and then give the sample alone. Most union members either don't know this or just don't care about the observed specimen collection.

they only started the gown deal this past year I think. I know that when I hired on back in 2000 and the yearly exams up thru 2005 I had a guard watch. Now after 2005, they said that the guards were to busy or didn't have enough on staff. Don't know about when sent for a drug test, have never been sent for disipline.
