Iím tired of watching kids play rough around toddlers, in some cases these kids are too big to play there. I watched some parents ignore there kids, while theirs practically trampled all over others. Is there a posted height limit? No one bothers to notice.

Yes there is, tell security and they will have anyone over the height limit removed. It's sad that some parents just put their kids in their and leave em while they go shopping!

I personally had a run in with this same situation. I know toddlers will bump and knock each other over, but that is not what I am speaking of. Accidents happen. I went to the information kiosk to alert security of bigger children playing too rough. They never came. In this day and age a fight is sure to break out if a parent questions the parenting of another. When it comes to something as simple as my 2 year old being knocked over by a 10 year old, I'll be happy to fight. So many would condem me for it. But it is the principle of the matter.

I would not take a small child to play at the play place,What about babies crawling on the carpet...that is nasty, the carpet is full of germs from all the people who walk around on the carpet..Children over 44 inches shoul not be in there to play . I agree older children should not be in this place. Please keep your child's shoes off and socks on !!!!!!!!!!

I completely agree, but I have also taken up for my children with no incident. You just never know what kind of parent you are going to be dealing with when you say something, but that's a chance I will take when it comes to my kids!

I agree with all.... I have a 2 year old.... the bigger kids should not be allowed to play in there. Its hard to take your little ones into the mall and expect them to not want to play. I'll tell you one thing... if my child is in there playing and gets knocked down by one of those kids and the parents dont say anything, I will. Its pathetic that people dont give a crap how their kids act out in public and how they treat others.. but they arent going to get by with trampling over my child. I was at McDonalds play place in russell and got into with a woman over her 2 yr old smacking my child in the head. that shit dont fly with this mommy! so, yeh.. they definetely need some guidelines down there or they are going to lose more business.. especially mine!

Sadly, I would too, my kids would hate it, but I stopped frequenting the mall with my kids except on rare occasions because I hate the way people let their kids act and I hate having to disappoint my kids by not letting them play because of the actions of others.

i wont let mine go in there either if there are older kids...if mine accidentally knock another kid over or start gettin to rough and runnin they arent allowed to play anymore! i agree the security should step up and not allow the older kids to run all over the smaller ones!!! parents should take responsibilty and not let their children act wild in there cuz someone is going to get seriously hurt one day!!!

I agree. I don't know about the height limit though, some kids are just tall, my son is only 4 and he is already 40 in tall, but he is very thin. What I don't agree with is 10 year olds in there playing. My little boy may be really tall but he is very tiny. Lol. I would hate to have to fight another mommy at the mall because her 12 year old ran all over my 4 year old. Haha. So in most cases we try to avoid that are, but it is sad that a place designed for small children has been taken over by practically pre-teens.

My daughter was hurt pretty bad a couple of years ago when a bigger boy was running and knocked her down and bent her leg backwards. She was only about 19 months to 2 years at the time. I will only take my new daughter during the day when no one is at the mall.
The other mother did nothing. My daughter as screaming and we finally got her to calm down she was waking with a limp.

It is usually the black kids and the mexican kids that are acting up. I think some of those kids are like 16.

I work in the mall... the play area is horrible. I can't tell you how many times I've heard complaints about people using it as a free babysitter, dumping their kids there while they go shop!!!

Why don't you take your kids to a real playground and let them get some fresh air and sunshine?

We do that as well, but on rainy days or during the winter when it is too cold for them to be outside playing, the play area would be a nice alternative IF the rules were followed.

It is not a vacation destination. I don't think anyone here is treating it as a play date gathering place, Not anymore then people wantintg to go out to eat and go the mall food court. It is there for parents to take a breather and relax with thier little ones. It's a shame parents let thier kids act like wild animals. If they are doing it at a toddlers recreation area, I'm sure they are doing it else where. The parents are too weak and spineless to deliever punishment, or provide example when needed.

Ok.. Most of the "kids" that play on there are like Waiting on their Pension checks.. Seriously.. Why the hell would 9year olds want to play on something like that..Better question Why the hell do parents let them??.. Mine is 3.. it's AWFUL.. these "kids" should NOT be allowed.. Go play video games.. read.. DATE.. HELL.. ANYTHING but be in a TODDLER play area.

If I was say like 9 and my friends saw me "playing" on a kiddie jungle gym.. I would have DIED.

I would love to take my kids to a real playground, however, it is just as nasty and full of "kids gone wild."

I was watching my daughter a few weeks ago and this kid started grunting next to me. I could smell the result but didn't think much about it until I saw the pee running down his leg. Yuck!! And he just kept playing. I never saw a parent with him either. We left immediately and haven't been back since.
