To do any kind if work w AARF you have to sign a waiver, & accept reponsability for your self,, they do not force anyone to help, they don't knock on doors, or call you on the phone for donations
They are trying to help innocent animals that have been neglected & harmed by humans, they take themin, feed them, find homes for unwanted, unclaimed dogs, & cats,,, it is a non
AARF does not abuse , they work hard to help there fur babies ,

He was born in Japan and now lives in Greenup. I know him. I was a Ring Girl at Toughman and he introduced himself to me, and brought me a gift. I agree with his points. Also humans attack people every minute. Their are 32 shooting related deaths every minute in our country. Did you not hear about the Zombie cases where people are getting their faces bitten off by "Humans" on bath salts? These people don't get put down like you did that poor dog. Shame on you.

You're not a very good troll Kellie. And that makes me sad.:( The dog was put down more humanely than the guy that ate the homeless mans face off in Miami. The cops opened fire on him. But nonetheless, It still sucks that they put the dog down. Just because a dog bites a person that doesn't mean that it's a bad or dangerous dog.

I read your story and I am very sorry what happened to you. Do you still hurt? It seems like you have went through an awful lot. I would love to see a picture of your leg. Is there anyway you could send me a picture? I am so sorry you have been going through this girl. It all seems like it was an unfortunate event. Try to work on your fear of dogs. You don't have to go out and get one! Just don't let it get you down and don't let fear control your life.

It is a really bad thing that happened to her. But she did say in one statement that she has always been afraid of dogs. Dogs are very sensitive to how people feel. So if Bruce picked up on this and she reacted then a bite can happen. She may have made the wrong move and with rescue dogs most of them haven't had a very good life so they react different than dogs than haven't been abused. She should have never been anywhere near dogs. There are other places in that program for her to go and she picked this one. Anyone with that kind of fear needs to stay away from dogs, period!

It sounds like to me she was going down a slippery slope. Trying to get over the fear of dogs and then unfortunately getting attacked by one! I feel sorry for her, and I hope she can recover from this; Not only from the physical aspect but the mental aspect. I know I have always been afraid of the water. My parents raised me to be afraid of rivers and the ocean. When I was a senior in college a friend my drowned and passed away. I immediately took swimming lessons at the YMCA. I couldn't be scared anymore. I respect that she was trying to get over her fear, and I challange her to adopt a small puppy for her and her kids, and watch and see if it is not the best pet they ever had!

Your very nice! But when someone has that kind of fear you don't start with dogs that has come from bad situations. Some dogs that wind up in the shelter may have been abused and are very stressed. Dogs pick up on people emotions especially fear. You don't pick a dominate dog to try to get over your fear. She should have started with a calmer dog like a lab or beagle. I'm sure AARF had those in there. I'm truly sorry that happen to her but I also feel sorry for the dog. He was put in a situation and he responded to it. She may have made a move that reminded him of past abusers. Who knows what happened. I just hope she doesn't put herself in that position again.

For one I dnt need sympathy I dnt really.care wat everybody thinks. Jus think it bs that I am berth put Dan dot the dog pound putting Bruce down, and that I had to do something to him.. I jus keep tryna set the story straight but nobody believes me.. Everybody feels sorry for Bruce after he attacked me.........

Why are you AARF peeple blaming the girl who got hurt? She was not trying to get over her fear she was working there. I am sure she was doing what the boss at AARF told her to do. I feel sorry for the dog to. Sorry he had to live in a AARF cage for 9 months That is why he was stressed and bite her.

She was involved in a work program that they give you options on where you can work. AARF wasn't the only place. She said herself that she was afraid of dogs. Their superviser to that program was suppose to be there and if he wasn't just goes to show you that this program sucked. She had no business being around any animals while afraid of them. That is just common sense. People who volunteer for AARF doesn't have time to babysit these people in this program. It was a really bad thing that happened to her but and I say this again she should have never been handling any dog with fear of them especially a dominate dog. Also he was only there for a couple of months. There were people in this program that were being mean to these dogs. A couple of guys were let go because of it. This is such a bad program. The government needs to find something else for these people to do to earn their welfare check instead of putting people where they don't need to be. So that being said she can get better and move on but stay away from programs that involve animals.

It sounds like its this program you were involved in fault. If they knew of your fear and put you here anyway then they should have to answer for what happened. You should have never been around dogs to begin with especially shelter dogs with issues. I'm very sorry for what happened to you but I also feel bad for the dog. He was put in a position he never should have been put in and he paid the ultimate price. I'm sure his life was full of abuse and that was all he knew. Because those supervisors in that program were stupid and apparently didn't give a crap about your feelings you were injured and Bruce will never know what having a home would have felt like. Prayers for your recovery!
