My husband & I ate at the Happi Hut today. We enjoyed it, burgers & onion rings(kinda like the bluegrass) were really good. Everything was fresh, hot and the burgers were big and homemade.(unlike the fast food burgers around town) Reasonably priced & friendly service. We will go back again sometime. Check it out.

This place is awesome! Had Philly steak and cheese and can't say enough good things about it! Of course, onion rings are great as well as their french fries. All the food is really good! Tell your friends about it. Good for the Ashland area! I've had the burger and it is really good too. They have footlongs and barbeque as well. Haven't tried them yet but they are on my list. All the food is fresh!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah, it's pretty greasy but that's what the "theme" is I guess. I used to eat at the one in Grayson and it was decent, just "out of the box" deep fried stuff.
Good idea if that's why they moved. More money in Ashland than there is in Grayson...
The food's not bad. Chicken strip things were decent. And come on, ice cream is ice cream- but $2.00 for a scoop???? Really?????

The prices are a little high. Especially for the type of food they serve. Although I agree that a place like that was needed in it's location/area, the prices will get em. Ppl just don't have that much money right now, trying to save on luxuries like eating out-not going someplace where you need a loan to feed a family of 4 !!!

Hope they lower prices before they go out of business......

Don't hold your breath for Tim Preston. He never eats at the places he writes about.
Read his tripe, "I have never eaten there but.....". Having zero knowledge never holds him back.
He rarely knows anything about the topics he chooses to write about. How hard is it to go to a place and eat free food for the review. Dump his non-journalistic butt Independent!

Happi Hut is Open! The reason their corndogs are "ugly" is because they are homemade. They make their own batter, and if you like the "Pronto Pups" at Camden Park, you'll love Happi Hut. Had their footlongs over the weekend and while they aren't Crisp's-worthy, they are quite good, and closer. I'm funny about my dogs and I liked Happi Hut's. And their decor is really cool...old pics from the Bluegrass Grille and a 50's diner feel. We need to keep this restaurant around for a while.
