I am a boyd county fan but I am being very honest when I say I was so embarrassed for coach cooksey. His team is way out of control but its his own fault. You bring kids in not from this area and it messes up the whole system. Kids who have played for fairview all their life sitting on the bench. It's just not right in any way shape or form. Build your program from the bottom up not bring in kids that are going to mess everything up!
cooksey dont need your smpathy...by the way austin hunt is way overated and shoots way too much

Coach C is not the problem. By khsaa standards it states any kid that leaves the floor is disqualified from the next game. Apparently with all that was going on nobody seen it. So the individual was very lucky in the regard. It is what it is, a young ndividual or individuals that can't control emotions. This is what kids have become to independent for high school athletics.

Everybody saw the grandstanding and disrespect put on by these recruited players including the ridiculous leaving the gym scene. They did miss last nights Fairviews away game at Phelps. If they can't control their emotions they don't need to be on the team plain and simple. Why in the heck these boys are allowed to get by with the depths of inapprppriate behavior they have displayed through football and now into basketball season with increasingly volitity is beyond me. Fairview shows absolutely NO discipline towards these kids who were actually kicked out of the entire state of WV schools due to violence against another student. PITIFUL FAIRVIEW!!!! These thugs have you by the nuts because you don't want them to squeal on you for all the illegal recruiting tricks you had to pull off to get them here. Lol, karma in a bitch.

I don't like it either! but nothing illegal has been proven so that's an un-fair statement about the school. It goes on everywhere even though I disagree with that standard anymore. My kids will be leaving because of that! Of course there will be the Jerk saying good bye in some smart, rude way!! Before you know it, it will be all OOD kids.

That was embarassing to the Fairview program and Coach C...the 2 brothers back-talked him all night long...I was where I could hear it happening and couldn't believe it. The elder bro was constantly arguing that he wanted to take his man off the dribble evey time when Cooksey would say to just run the offense. Pure sign of selfishness and lack of self-control.

Do you think when he fouled out he walked outside and hit a blunt? Then he probably came back in the locker room. He needed a breather. A pause for the cause.

Fairview was running the floor and winning the game. Fairview coach decided to slow it down and run a half court offense. I don't think it was right for the kid to run out of the gym, but not doubt he was extremely flustered at the poor coaching and bad officiating.
No kid has the right to run from the gym due to what they perceive as poor coaching or officiating. There are rules of play set up by the KHSAA and if the player cannot abide by the rules they do not need to be on a team. These kids are not the boss.

I am stunned at reading these comments for 2 reasons, first the name calling and second making excuses for inexcusable behavior. I completely see why this behavior continues we have people justifying and enabling these young people. Teach them.some respect so they van be productive citizens one day. Do you think a College Coach would put up with foolishness like this, I think not. Quit making excuses and enabling these kids.

. Best point made yet, but nothing will be done to them as long as they keep winning and bring a lil noteriety to this school. I've always asked if these kids wasn't athletes would fairview had even gave them a chance? NO!!!

OMG!!! I can't believe this!! This is obviously a kid posting.....blaming the coaches and the refs??!!! You can NOT be serious! Cooksey wasn't saying to slow it down, doofus...He was saying in the halfcourt to run the offense, not to ball hog it like that thug insisted on doing! You people kill me!!! HAHAHA

By the way...congrats to the football team on acquiring yet ANOTHER Huntington High football player.....not mentioning names, but he'll be there by next year - a junior lineman....

Let me guess he is going to still live in Huntington but use an Adjland address and Of course his parents won't pay a dime in any form of school taxes. He will be allowed to say or do anything he wants and we should just feel honored his azz is here. Bravo Fairview, now what local WW kid is going to ride the bench now?

It don't take a genius or another parent to point out what is wrong here. The boys are out of control and are allowed to be meanwhile kids that do as they should are benched. No discipline in the end makes equals a bad program. Better to play the WW kids than have the Huntington kids make as azz out of u.
