Best Children's Dentist

I love bellefonte childrens dentistry, my son goes there and he loves it, but they wont take older kids, so I also use Dr.Thorner for my older kids and They are great.

I went to Hughes and my then four year old was terrified of her and her so called nice rooms! I took him back and they wanted to put caps on all his teeth. We didn't go back.
Our pediatrician recommended Shaffer and Shaffer because she took hers to them. We went there and Dr. Shaffer was great. Very fun for my child and he took all the fear out of it. AND, they let you go back with them and sit there through the whole thing.

If you know anything at all about dentistry then you would know that sometimes it's necessary to do pulpotomy's to baby teeth and crowns If a child has a badly decayed tooth. If a child has a baby tooth with decay then eventually the tooth will start to Hurt and possibly abscess if left untreated. I know first hand dr. Spradlin would never do unessary work on a childs tooth. Children are suppose to keep their baby teeth til the permanent teeth are ready to come in and normally a child doesn't loose all baby teeth til they are around the age of 12 maybe a little earlier or later. Dr. Spradlin and dr. Jeter are both great dentist!

Whoever made the comment about dr spradlin putting child in headlock - PLEASE- i've had my children under his care for years. Parents don't go back because kids do better if they don't. I sent one back screaming and in a couple min she was fine. Couldn't ask for a better dentist.

My daughter is 13 and has seen Dr Spradlin since she was 3. She has never had a cavity, and they have always been wonderful.

LOL That is BS! If that really happened, why didnt u have him arrested? If someone did that to my child I would hold them in a headlock until the police came!

My kids go to Dr. Beadle as do me and my husband. They used to go to Dr. Hughes and we had the same experience. One year, we maxed out my delta dental with my daughter and payed over $1000 out of pocket. I'm a healthcare professional and a physician I worked with said Dr. Hughes diagnosed cavities in her kids. She never had them fixed by Dr. Hughes, and guess what, there were no cavities when she took them to a different dentist. My daughter hasn't had any cavities since we've seen Dr. Beadle and had them everytime we saw Dr. Hughes.

Dr. Jesse Mark Porter is an excellent adult dentist, I've seen him for going on 15 yrs now and NEVER had any problems or complaints with him!!

if you would like to know, Dr Craig was one of the doctors that told me to get a second opinion about my kids teeth. If you want to really know, Jennifer Hughs has many complaints on her, if you don't believe me just call the KY board of Dentistry! It really pisses me off because she was going to put my child through a surgery for only her benefit of $$$. She is truely thief! If you want more info just email me at [e-mail].

I took my 3yr old son to Dr. Hughs and she wanted to pull his 2 front teeth she said that they were "dead"...Then I took my son too Dr. Spradlin and he said that they didnt need to be pulled that they just needed fillings...Dr. Hughs is a sorry excuse for a pediatric dentist!

dr. jetter is a very good dentist. my little boy is 8 now and has went there since he has been 3. they let the parnets go back and not one time have they had to hold him down. they just know how to work with kids to make them comfortable. good luck with who ever you get. i will agree i do think that people can get kids to do more without the parent .but i feel that a parent needs to be with their child they need to know that you are there for them.

I am shocked with everyones negatives comments about Dr. Jennifer. I am MORE than happy with the care and billing at Dr. Jennifer's office. Maybe the trouble is with the parents of her patients.

Dr donna and Dr hugh are great with my kids I would never take my children anywhere else..My daughter broke a front permament tooth and she came in early to fix it and the tooth look just like it did before she broke it I have nothing but good things to say about her.All i can say is maybe it depends on how you take care of your kids mouth she is just concerned about kids teeth.
