Dr. Jennifer Hughes. Bellefonte Children's dentistry. She's great. Her rooms have tv's in the ceiling for your kids to watch while they clean their teeth. My little boy loves it.

DO NOT go to DR. HUGHES!!!!! My child went there and she had a different worker ever time. They say its because she is not easy to work for and the desk girl is stuck there because Dr, Hughes is doing her braces! My child said she was mean back there and nice to me when I would have to talk to her. I have been told by previous workers she doesn't know what she is doing they have to do a lot of it for her!!! BEWARE AND GO ELSEWHERE I did!!!!!!!!

My son goes to dr spradlin he is great. I had him when I was young also but he does not take patient under 3. The room is open and all the kids and workers r together. I don't think it's safe to send young children back in a room alone with strangers.

Please do not use Dr. Hughs. She needs to be investigated by the Dental Board for unnessecary procedures that she performs only to line her pockets! Not to mention insurance and medical card fraud!

my kids love dr. shelton. took them both to speadlin. me and my kids didnt like him. they dont want the parnets to go back with them but we went back anyway. glad i did cause he put my son in a head lock just because my son didnt want him to look in his mouth. we told him that was enough that he was strange to him and just needed to get to know first. that should of never happened. did he hurt my son, no. it still shouldnt of happened. it took my son a long time to trust another denist. love shelton and smith they dont force the kids to do anything either they open their mouth or they will try again the next time. they take their time with the kids.

We also used to take ours to Spradlin, until he began doing unnecessary procedures on my kids, who in the world does a root canal on a baby tooth that is going to fall out anyways? I guess you do when you want the money, also put in several fillings in my other daughters teeth all of wchich fell out, and when we switched them to Dr. Beadle he went to replace the fillings that had fallen out and Dr. Spradlin hadn't even cleaned the cavity out, he just put a feeling in over top of it, poor Dentistry if you ask me, but now ours go to Dr Beadle and they love it, he is great with them!!

We love Dr. Spradlin - Grandchild currently in braces that Dr. Spradlin put on and is taking great care of. Super Friendly staff and my children and grandchild love going to the dentist. NO Cavities at age 9 for the grandchild and 1 cavity for my daugher whom is almost 29 - 3 out of my 4 kids needed braces that was done and that office by Dr. Roy and all turned out great. Very happy with them. I Highly recommend.

I took my kid to Dr Hughes and she wanted to put caps on every baby tooth. I refused to do it, she told us how all of the teeth would soon fall apart, I refused again and then I just didn't take my kid back. Ended up going to see Dr. Shaffer at Bellefonte and it was the greatest decision of my life. I asked him if he thought my child needed caps and he said absolutley not, they are baby teeth.

I'm not saying this to give Hughes a bad name, but I know other folks that she wanted to cap their kid's teeth. Capping involves complete anesthesia and was going to cost me around $1900 out of pocket. BEWARE! If you go to her and she wants to do this, get a second opinion before your kid is put under and operated on. I recommend Shaffer.

Thanks for all the info! I def will not be taking my kids to Hughes. If that was my child they put in a headlock && yelled at, her butt woulda been on the floor in an instant. That is not what you call a dentist in my book, that's what u call a money hungry no good wanna be dentist. I cannot stand these so called Dr's out here that all they wanna do is take money from people && be rude & do a crappy job. I think I might check out Bellefonte Children's dentistry. Anybody have any bad experiences with them?

Kids Dentist - that is exactly what happened to me. Bellefonte Dentistry is Dr. Jennifer Hughs. She needs to be shut down! I went to get a physical for pre- operation and my childs dr. Told me NOT to let Dr. Hughs put her under for all these caps on her teeth. Went and got a second opinion, 3 small cavaties. That was about 2 years ago and now my child has lost most of those baby teeth. Please think again prior to using this doctor. She is very convincing and all she see's if you flash a medical card is $$.

My 5 year old daughter has been going to Dr Marc Prince since she was 3. Dr. Prince and his staff are amazing. I like to go back in the room with my children at least until they are comfortable going back by themself. Dr. Prince will let you go back if you want to. I did the first time and after that I offer to go, but my daughter does not want me to. They let me know if I want to check on her I can go back there at anytime to see how she is doing. We have also tried Lisa Dean Preston and did not like her. They were not friendly and will not let you go back with your kids even the first time they are there.

I do good dental work. I just got a dremel and a fifth of Jack.

U must sign consent for your kid to get Jack Daniels for the antisthetic though.

$10 for cavity
$50 for root canal
$200 for braces due to price fluxuations in coat hangers.
